What size is baby? A papaya or a chihuahua (which kind of freaks me out!)
How are you feeling? So tired and done with work! Next Friday is my last day though! woo!
Upcoming appointments? T-minus 1 hour until my growth ultrasound (maybe the last one before the big day?!) and 36 week appointment. I think we'll be testing for Strep B...fingers crossed it's negative!!!!
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm getting so many hits to the cervix lately from baby...anyone else? I also puked this morning...anyone else still getting rand bouts of morning sickness?
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey) - Lately (and probably always if I'm honest with myself) I'm definitely a Sleepy.
How are you feeling? Tired. The leg cramps and back pain are killer! Any advice??
Upcoming appointments? Not until next Friday
Rants/Raves/Questions: I have this weird thing going on where when I sit or "bend over" I feel like I'm pulling a tendon on the inside of my left heel. No idea if this is normal but it's so uncomfortable. Also can I be done with work yet?
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey). Currently I've been a combination of Grumpy and Sleepy
What size is baby? Haven't looked, but if I had to guess - Voltswagon??
How are you feeling? Started getting the BH and other assorted pains....also swelling/back pain/carpal tunnel and acid reflux. Luckily not usually all of those at once...
Upcoming appointments? Friday. They moved me to once a week to monitor swelling, although blood pressure is still really good so they're not concerned.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Still craving grilled cheese and fruit, could have for every meal. Work is getting LONGGG and hard!!! Might reduce hours soon.
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey) Haha love this question! As of late, definitely Sleepy. Also quite frequently alternating between Happy and Grumpy.
How are you feeling? Baby moved down which never happened with DS1! It feels so good to not have his big butt wedged in my ribs haha...I was told at my appt Monday that my cervix is 80 percent effaced and his head is really low. Not dilated yet. Otherwise just super tired and generally irritated and so incredibly swollen!
Upcoming appointments? Weekly appointments now so next Monday is my next one
Rants/Raves/Questions: @katiey23 yeah, my morning sickness never completely went away and it is getting worse again now. Pretty much as soon as I wake up, I have to immediately go downstairs and eat a bowl of cereal or I will be dry heaving...gross! @AmMcc12 no advice but my lower back is starting to hurt too now that baby has moved down. I've just been using hot packs occasionally or trying to get into a warm shower when it gets bad.
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)
Most of the time I am Happy--I am generally a positive person. However at 9 months pregnant, I think I am transitioning over to being Grumpy more often than Happy ha!
How far along? 37 weeks! I feel like Wednesday takes longer and longer to get here every week now.
What size is baby? Romaine lettuce
How are you feeling? Emotionally spent. I posted about it in the randoms thread, but my baby is still breech and I'm dealing with all the worries and difficult choices that come with that.
Upcoming appointments? Tomorrow I have another u/s to check her position. As of right now I know she is still breech. Then we will discuss having an ECV on Friday.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I should be on top of the world right now, but every little thing is sending me over the edge. These 9 month hormones are just out of control. Her being breech has really sent me reeling with disappointment and the whole range of emotions. HOWEVER, we just signed the contract this week on 5 acres of land for us to build a home on! I am so happy, but the timing for this is making it impossible for it to really sink in, since all I can think about is the birth coming up (literally any day now). It's just not registering in my brain that we actually bought land. I am finding myself annoyed with DH for being SO focused on that instead of getting our CURRENT home completely ready for the baby. He hasn't been home before 7:30 this week. Monday it was to sign the papers, Tuesday he wanted to go to the gym, and today he wants to walk the property with BIL (who is buying the 5 acres right next to ours). I get that this is a huge deal and a dream for our family, but your daughter hasn't seen you more than five minutes this week, and being hugely pregnant while single parenting a toddler for 12 hours is not a f*cking walk in the park. Just come home! I am so not used to feeling this needy.
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey) Lately it's Grumpy for obvious reasons...
How are you feeling? Very pregnant. And there's another heat wave coming. And my husband works this weekend so I'm on my own with my three year old. Whine.
Upcoming appointments? Had one this past Monday. Go back next Wednesday for GBS test.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm just whiney and pathetic. I'm such a control freak and I hate not knowing when baby will come. My daughter came at 38w2d so that timing is in the back of my head, even though I know there's no correlation.
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey) - all of them right now. I'm such an emotional train wreck.
How are you feeling? Huge, tired, in pain, all the things.
Upcoming appointments? Next thursday
Rants/Raves/Questions: Rant - he moved just enough yesterday that I didn't call the OB. He was very quiet last night. Did an extra kick count after breakfast and he did good but come on little dude. Don't scare mommy.
Rave - during the kick count got some good video of alien style belly movements and got video of hiccups.
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey).
It fluctuates between Sleepy, Grumpy, and Happy.
@AmMcc12 what a strange place to feel pain when sitting and bending. I wonder if its related to the leg cramps? For the cramps only suggestion I have is usual potassium and maybe stretching more. For back pain heating pads may help.
@jbscmama mmmmm grilled cheese. Grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup is a staple in our house.
@sunshinern96 yay for baby moving and being able to breathe more.
@TheTamedShrew I'm sorry about baby still being breech still. That's a tough decision to have to make. Congratulations on the land purchase though. I would love to be able to have that much land and to build our own custom home. Very exciting!
@PSUBecky23 so true about the timing of 1st child's delivery date affecting perceptions about when 2nd + is coming. My 1st came at 37 weeks and I'm afraid this is gonna be a looooonng pregnancy if I don't manage expectations.
Rants/Raves/Questions: DH has been working so much, and it's taking a toll on him and us. Summer is busy for him, and this year we have the added stress of finishing the nursery (we finally have walls, it's getting painted this week, then just trim/doors/light fixtures left) as well as dealing with our rental property which the last renters (aka BIL) trashed. It's just making everything super stressful for both of us.
GTKY: Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey) I try to be Happy, but Sleepy and Grumpy win out more often.
How are you feeling? I feel good for the most part. B&H are getting intense lately but baby hasn't dropped or anything. I'm trying to relax more often because I'm constantly running around.
Upcoming appointments? Every Tuesday
Rants/Raves/Questions: I haven't been around much this summer, been extremely busy and never seem to get on here to take part in the check in's.
Belly was measuring small and I haven't gained any weight since 28wks, so I had to go for a growth scan, but all is well, baby is average size, and is head down. So that was good to hear.
It's likely DH could be away for the next three weeks, his entitled time off is over tomorrow, but work hasn't called yet (I hope they don't, he can't refuse a callout, he hasn't been with the company long enough). I'm starting to panic. Everyone I was planning to rely on if DH got called to work are now busy with unforeseen circumstances (cancer, house fire, work, surgery, etc.) So, I have no idea what I'll do, or who will take care of my kids, if I go into labor before 40wks. I know it will all work out in the end so I'm trying not to get overly worked up about it. I feel so horrible about all the things my family and friends are going through and I don't want to be an extra burden, but I feel so alone.
GTKY:Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey) Sleepy, I can never get a good rest.
@jbscmama grilled cheese sounds amazing and I know what I'm going to have for dinner now
@sunshinern96 I'm looking forward to baby moving down as well so my lungs have more space. I got a heat pad for work and have one at home so hopefully that helps
@TheTamedShrew so sorry you are dealing with such difficult decisions FX for the scan today. Let us know how it goes.
@PSUBecky23 I'm also in the control freak camp. I'm trying to figure out maternity leave and not knowing exactly when he is going to come is messing with my planning.
@ajn092 hopefully your little man started moving a little more for you. I have stocked up in bananas and will bring the tendon thing up with my doctor though j doubt there is anything they can do about it
*update*: LO is still breech as of today so we have an ECV scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Any good thoughts and baby flipping vibes are much appreciated. I'm very nervous, but have a lot of faith in my OB. Trying to remain positive and pray that at least everything goes well and safely. Even if we are unsuccessful I know that I have tried everything to help her out. Thanks!
@TheTamedShrew, good luck tomorrow!! I would be nervous too...I have a few friends who had successful versions though and went on to have vaginal deliveries! Hopefully she flips for you!
@AmMcc12 DH can request to leave when I go into labor, but It would take 2-4 days for him to get home. He works at sea and would have to take a supply boat home. And unfortunately he got called out today... He leaves Sunday. Now I just need to work on keeping this baby in. lol
@TheTamedShrew Best of luck with everything tomorrow. Prayers for a nice, easy flip!
@TheTamedShrew I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! I really hope it's successful!
My my appointment yesterday was awful. If it had been my first appointment I would have found a new ob, no second chance. It was that bad. They were running behind and when I tried asking questions I got clipped answers and literally was told that he didn't have time for that. It's not usually this way but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
@ajn092, thanks for checking in! The procedure wasn't bad at all, and everything went safely. He tried several times to turn her in both directions, but it wouldn't happen. I am just happy it's over and that we can move on to the next step. Will likely discuss options on Wednesday at my 38 week appointment. I have another u/s that day, but the odds are looking slim that she will turn. If it comes to a c/s I just hope I can deliver close to my due date. Thanks for thinking of us today!
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work. But glad that the procedure wasn't that bad. At least if it ends up being a csection you know that you tried but she wouldn't cooperate. Hopefully they let her stay in there for a little while longer and have additional options at the next appointment

@KayJDT3 would it be possible for your DH to leave work if you were to go into labor??
