I need some inspiration ladies! I've bought all these baskets and organizers but have no idea how I want to use them (I am PANTS at organizing...). We have a little shelf installed above the change table. The change table has two cubbies and 2 drawers and then I have one of those fabric closet organizer shelves that I'm going to put in the closet, but I feel like I need something else... so I'm looking to you all for inspiration. For those of you who have your nursery almost or completely set up, lets see how you organize!
I don't know what this picture will look like on desktop or the app because it's a panoramic. We have disposable newborn diapers/disposable wipes, swaddling blankets and waterproof covers for the change pad in those cubbies of the change table. the cloth diapers are in the hanging thing and cloth wipes on the change table. The drawers are newborn clothes. There's a second dresser in the closet with bigger sizes for later and baskets up top with miscellaneous stuff, like extra nipples, soothers, more bibs, etc. The bookshelf by the glider has bibs, burp cloths, pump, blankets
DD2s nursery isn't even close, so these are pictures of DD1s room. (Excuse the mess)
- diapers, wipes, and lotion are kept on top of changing table/dresser -orange basket has medicines in it. It usually gets put away when DD isn't sick. I'm obviously slacking there. - top drawers of dresser are Muslin blankets, burp clothes, hats, diaper cream, comb, and other random crap I don't have another place for. - storage in her room used mostly to hold books and toys. I got this one at Target. I like the top because rather than just sitting on top the lamp and flowers are actually surrounded by 3ish inch sides. - Cube storage in closet has pnp sheets, crib sheets, changing pad covers, socks, shoes, and tights/leggings. On top is bows.
We'll be doing pretty much the same thing in DD2s room, except I think I'll get a 9 cube organizer for the closet instead of just 6. It's so nice to be able to put things in the baskets and not worry if they're neat or not. DD2 also has a double closet, so I'll be able to store extra diapers and wipes and misc things in there. I think I'm also going to add some drawer storage for extra little stuff (diaper genie refills, butt paste, pacis, etc).
I'm semi tempted to post the over stuffed linen closet that currently houses 6 boxes of diapers, swaddles, clothes, lotions, towels etc because I have yet to even clean out the office to start the nursery. Ugh. Instead I'll try to find some motivation from your organization skills ladies.
I'm pretty OCD so everything is washed, folded, and put away already. All her full 'outfits' are hanging in the closet. I ordered size dividers to help separate everything. The bins above have blankets and extra crib sheets. I saw a cute tutorial on Pinterest for hanging her headbands, so that's inside the closet. The drawers of the dresser are divided by size. And yes, I'm crazy and used a label maker to divide and label each box by size. You can't tell what size onesies are when they're folded lol! And I have a little basket by the glider which holds nursing pads, burp cloths, and nipple balm.
ahackett1990 would you be interested in organizing my stuff??!!! I desperately want it to be organized but I just can't figure out the best way to do that with our space.
ETA - I love your baby soap/health basket. I need one of those!
Umm yeah @ahackett1990 if you could just come organize my entire house, that'd be great. Love your idea for the headbands! I'm going to have to try that!
@PoodleDoodleOoo and @yellowrose314 omg I'd come do it in a heartbeat! I absolutely love organizing haha! My husband thinks I'm a nut job. He might be right but he'll thank me when he has to figure out how to dress her.
@ahackett1990 seriously though... You're still in the ok to fly window right?... Lol. I love that you used a lable maker, and the fact that you have a lable maker! Bomb organization mama!!

Haha!! Well I have yet to ever have poutine, and you're in Canada, right? Sounds like a win-win. You get a personal organizer and you give me poutine.

Deal. "A verbal contract is binding in the state of New York!"
I tried taking pictures of the organization in our nursery and this was the best I could do with my phone. It looks much nicer IRL.
Toys, books and woven wraps/baby carriers (in bins):
The metal fox head art on top of the shelf is there temporarily. We need to hang it still.
Miscellaneous stuff (will be replaced by cloth diapers):
Swaddles (there's another layer underneath):
Blankets, receiving blankets and burp cloths:
Newborn clothes:
3 months (drawer #1 - favorite stuff):
3 months (drawer #2 - everything else) plus miscellaneous things (white onesies, leg warmers and extra socks):
Under-crib drawer #2 (sleep sacks and heavier blankets; #1 has waterproof mattress pads):
Mojo snuck into a couple pictures, too.
Our dresser drawers are a little crowded since we have double everything, but everything is nicely organized and easy to find. I'm really happy with how everything is arranged. If only my pictures didn't look so lackluster, I'd be all set!
We don't have a closet in the nursery, so I had to use an armoire. I went to the dollar store and bought baskets to hold bath time items. My organization is not as beautiful and neat as others but this is what I have for my drawers:
Temporary feeding drawer: breast pump items, bottles, freebie formula I received just in case my milk doesnt come in, and bottle cleaners.
