We're traveling to California at the beginning of September for my brother's wedding, and we just found out the following Tuesday H has to be in LA for a conference, so we're extending the trip and H offered to take me to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter while we're there. I'm a massive Harry Potter fan! Is it terrible that I'm googling if I can ride the rides while 11 weeks pregnant, hoping I can find some reasoning on why it's perfectly ok? I have my first ultrasound today and I know I should ask my doctor while I'm there but he's a "not a drop of coffee while pregnant" kind of cautious and I know he's going to advise me not to. At least the butterbeer is non alcoholic!

@housewifehobbyist I say ride most of the rides, but I'd avoid any crazy pressure from harnesses like intense roller coasters. But I'm super jealous regardless. I'm driving 9 hours to see my parents which we do every year when I'm just shy of 11 weeks. Its going to be miserable.

Also, I think @TheJerilu needs to show everyone what she convinced her husband to find last night.

@Neikoda I can even turn this into a FFFC.

I maaay have had my first specific rando pregnancy craving after work. I texted my partner that I would do inappropriate things for raspberry cake (although any raspberry baked goods would suffice).

He went to five different bakeries on his way home before finding one that sold a white chocolate raspberry cake. LOOK AT THIS THING:

It was delicious.

Here's where the FFFC comes in... as we were watching TV he was like, "Oh, you said you'd do inappropriate things for that cake, right?" And I was like, "Absolutely!" Then I excused myself to the bedroom so I could fall asleep with delicious cake in my belly and not get it all shook up & heartburny with sexytimes.

Delicious cake and full nights sleep.

My FFFC is that I would like to trade my husband for @TheJerilu 's husband for a day so he can bring me a raspberry cake. My oatmeal is not cutting it right now.

@housewifehobbyist We had annual Disney Workd passes when I found out we were pregnant with my last. I still ride most of the rides, including splash mountain until about 12 weeks. I just avoided fast rides or roller coasters.

Thanks @Neikoda and @Tinkerbell413! I just got back from my doctor. FYI to anyone else making an amusement park trip this summer- he said to avoid spinning rides since it can make morning sickness worse, and drink a ton of water, but the biggest pregnancy rollercoaster risk is to the placenta later in pregnancy, so at 11-12 weeks it's not really an issue, and the womb is so far back and down that its well padded (did he just call me fat?!?). He seemed more concerned about the six hour flight and me wearing compression socks and walking for at least 5 minutes every hour/drinking 10 ounces of water every hour.

Here is my confession: I'm jealous of all you here getting your US LOL I can't stop obsessing about the fact that my clinic keeps telling me no US until 20 weeks, when I had multiple first time around. I'm a crazy person, I know. Totally happy for you all and love seeing the pics, but also totally jealous :P

Last night I told my husband I was nauseated and that I just wanted to lay on the couch and rest when I really just wanted to watch the Olympics instead of have sexytime.

I am so excited and grateful to be pregnant. A small part of me is even more excited because I can nap now and DH doesn't get mad at me. You know, because I am growing a human and everything.

I told DH I felt nauseous yesterday to get out of some chores. He did them for me. I wasn't really nauseous. ETA: I suppose the real FFFC is that I don't feel bad about that at all. I am growing a human. If I don't want to do the dishes I shouldn't have to.

@cookies754 - We had a full work day today. It was glorious. Also, my cousin is our theatre teacher, she let me use one of their prop couches and gave me a blanket. (She's one of the few people who know I'm KTFU, so she's taking good care of me.) I'm so wiped. I will most likely be in bed super early tonight!

My DH mentioned last night we should make friday a "cleaning friday". I'm like wtf, is he serious? So if he continues this nonesense I might just have to tell him this momma is nauseated and needs rest.

Yesterday while I was driving to a bridal shower, I had to drive around a man that was running. After I passed him, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw that he was giving me the middle finger. I am going to blame the pregnancy hormones for what happened next- but to be honest, I think they just gave me the final push over the edge. I SLAMMED on my brakes and jumped out of the car. He slowed down for a moment until he realized I was just a little lady. As he got closer, I started to tell him how disrespectful it is to give someone the finger and he should be ashamed of himself. He just kept saying, "I am so sorry, I am so sorry." I hopped back in my van and drove away feeling way better.

My husband says I am not allowed to drive during rush hour traffic if I am going to act that way. Whoops.
