DH works closing tonight so I'll probably sew or design some tonight. I finished the one I was working on for a friend on Wednesday night (I'll post a pic in a minute) so to start on one for my nephew's new Star Wars themed room and work on the one for my Squish. Have to get some Gatorade because these leg cramps are no joke!
Saturday, maybe puppy play date with my friend. Not sure. No set plans, except food shopping with DH.
Sunday, laundry and mani-pedis with my mom in prep for my trip. Also going shopping for work appropriate clothes to wear on said trip. I have pants, just need some shirts. Also need to make sure my shoes still fit. I'm paranoid.
Moving truck comes tomorrow at 7 am! So our weekend is consumed with that and unpacking. I'm dreading the process, but ready to get into a regular routine at the new house. I've barely cooked for 3 weeks due to having things packed/buying minimal groceries, and every night it seems like we've been busy. And once we're settled I can start on the nursery! The negative is that my commute is longer.
@cgss11 I'm on the other end. We're packing this weekend and will be starting the 3 weeks of eating out/living in a war zone craziness. Hope you move goes smoothly and you feel settled soon!
We were invited to go tanking this weekend. The weather is supposed to be perfect at 80 degrees, mild breeze etc, but DH and I just thought it might be a long dehydrated day for me especially not being close to home. Instead, we are opting to go to his sister's house Saturday morning so I can take family pictures for them. This ought to be interesting with ages ranging from 1 to 8. I hope I can take a few that they like! (Super novice here)
Looking forward to the weekend here!!! Tonight - monthly girl's night with my sister Sat - going to a river in the Hillcountry with DH, DS and some friends in the morning, then just relaxing and handing out in the evening Sun - more chillaxin' with the hubs and DS. Olympics, football, reading, naps, etc

Tonight we're doing dinner with my parents tomorrow I'm doing sunrise yoga and the I have DS all day with dh builds a shed sunday we have a 40th anniversary party for some of dh's extended family.
but really I wanna lay in a cool dark room reading Harry Potter and eating gummy bears
Lots of nothing, just like I like it. Tonight I have the house to myself as DH is working late and DS is at his daddy's. Tomorrow I will sleep in and then watch TV. I have some rearranging to do in DS's room and the would-be nursery, but I'm not sure I'll do it.
Sunday, church and then I need to come into the office. Womp womp.
I'm flying home from the West Coast this afternoon - so that's basically my whole Friday.
Saturday we're buying our gilder! I'm not 100% if I'm custom ordering to change the fabric or going with what's in stock. We're also going to pick out paint colors for the nursery. Then we're going to go out to dinner and come home and set it up.
Sunday is nursery prep day. I'm going to try my damnedest to take the wallpaper down. Fingers crossed it comes down easily. DH is also smoking a pork shoulder which I'm looking forward to!
I think DH and I might check out strollers and things at Babies R Us before we add to our Amazon registry, but otherwise we have a party tomorrow night and that's about it.
Whatever we do, it will be inside! Supposed to feel like over 100 degrees tomorrow in my neck of the woods
We are up at my in laws cabin for the one and only time this year (we always get pressure to go cuz all DHs brothers and wives go all the time) but we typically go to my parents cabin because my mom has kid stuff permanently up there and it's closer. DHs family cabin is 2 bedrooms and 10-12 people. We are the only one with kids yet (DD is 2.5) and she gets up early so we haven't gone up much cuz there's no where to go when her toddler self wakes up at 5/6 am! So we are finally up here and what's the first thing that happens this morning- BIL freaking out cuz "people are trying to sleep" when my toddler is awake and she's trying to be quiet. Sorry dude it's 6:45 - which is "sleep in" to me, go home to your childless house and sleep ALL you want!! But thanks for justifying why we never come up with your crappy attitude.

Nothing too spectacular for us. Going to a special service at church this morning, then we're going to go to Target and do a little supplemental baby registering (their cribs are cheaper than Babies R Us), then we'll probably grab lunch and buy groceries for the week. Tomorrow we'll probably go to church and then come home and spend the day snuggling on the couch catching up on TV/Reading/Xbox or something. Quiet weekends are the best kinds of weekends.
Cleaning. Lots of cleaning. Our master bathroom remodeling starts monday morning so it needs to be completely emptied out and all our daily use stuff moved into the other bathroom.
My husband's birthday was Friday. So we are having a fish fry today and we're getting ready for it. Then on Sunday, we will clean up the mess. We also have to take everything out of my 2 year old's closet. On Monday we are having a carpenter come in an add extra shelves, rods, and storage units to the closet.
just cleaning and trying to merge two overstuffed bedrooms into one. seriously I can't believe these two girls have accumulated so much junk. I look around and I only got them about 1/10 of what they own. everything is "special" and can't be thrown out (even the free crap that they get in a happy meal). somehow I managed to merge their closets already but there is so much more. feeling overwhelmed. i'm going to have to go tough love on them and throw stuff out when they aren't looking.
tomorrow my sister is coming over to play with DD. she bought her a chemistry set for her birthday last year (as in a whole year ago) and promised her at the time that she would show her how to use it. well DD called her up this week and called her out. so i'm hoping while she plays with her I can get more done in their rooms.
otherwise nothing. DH wants me to make meatballs for dinner but I don't really feel like going to the store tonight.
I didn't even think to explain before and I'm terrible at checking this over the weekend so I'm sorry for the late response-- Tanking is probably a Midwest specific event. You take large water tanks (usually bought for cattle to drink out of) and put them in a river. Add some lawn chairs and coolers and literally just float down a river all afternoon. You can get out at any time to just cool off or go to the bathroom or whatever because the water is only a few feet deep. It's a pretty fun time!!
Monday now, as I always see these on Monday since I don't go on the boards after I leave work (3:30 CT)... passes the time!
We had a pretty chill weekend. We stayed in Friday night - reheated some grilled chicken and had corn on the cob for supper, and watched the Olympics.
Saturday - DH spent some of the day mowing the lawn and doing outside stuff, and then started sanding a bookcase I have had for years, as we were wanting to stain it to match the other furniture in our basement (it's a light wood, and the rest was a darker wood). That evening, we went for supper with his parents/grandparents, then hung out with his parents after they dropped his grandparents off. While he was sanding, I went to the grocery store... I basically didn't do much.
Sunday - DH finished staining the bookcase and it looks really good; now letting it dry. We did our normal laundry. I went through a closet in what will be the babies room to get rid of extra coats/sweatshirts to donate, since we started a few boxes for that stuff. I also cleaned up a few other things around the house, too, and made a cucumber salad that my Grandma has made for years with some stuff we've gotten from family gardens (cucumber/onions). We made chicken nachos for supper and watched some more Olympics.

Today Dh and I are going to prep the nursery for paint and hopefully get that started. I need to do the floors downstairs and get some laundry done.
Sunday we need to run to Costco because we are almost out if dog food and I need to meal plan and prep a little.
At some point I need to print some things for my classroom and get them laminated.
