I can't take woo seriously. And by woo I mean "medical" treatments or advice that have zero scientific backing (and sometimes proven to be completely ineffective).
@Magheeta Agreed. All of those shows geared towards women make me crazy.
My UO is that I hate facial hair on men. I can barely handle DH's little goatee thing. Facial hair irritates my skin and I beg DH to shave constantly.
I figured I'd be this way too but my hubby has a full beard (but not too huge)and uses beard balm, always soft and never scratchy (except when he doesn't put it on). It's incredible, good stuff

I don't mind woo in addition to standard medical treament - if it helps you feel like you have a bit of control to add an essential oil diffuser or a detox diet to your day, no harm. Placebo effect is a real thing.
It's when people do the whole "MEDICAL TREATMENT AND DOCTORS ARE JUST CASH COWS" that I get ragetastic.
Doctors don't make near enough money. Like, not even close. We are still in medical school and have so. many. years. before we will be living on our own (no credit cards/loans/etc). I'm debating whether all this shit is even worth it in the end!

Here my UO for today. I love animals and think that all abusers should rot in hell. But please, please for the love of God, please do not post those horrible videos on FB. I know people are trying to raise awareness but I think it kind of does the opposite. People are not designed and meant to see that much violence being let out on animals, and certainly not on other people, especially kids. So putting all those videos out there just shocks people too much and they tend to look away knowing, they've seen a horrible thing and there is nothing they can do about it.
I made the mistake of watching 2 graphic videos, one involving a little girl and one a puppy and I'm still completely and totally heartbroken, haunted and scarred by it. All I can think about is what horror they had to go through day in and day out and there is nothing I can do about it
@Tinkerbell413 it's not just doctor's...it's the entire medical field as a whole. Emts, nurses, aides, etc. For being able to save a life and go through the stress and hours that we put in we are all grossly underpaid.
This one is going to be really UO. I am being brave here, guys.
First hear this: I love animals. My dad is a veterinarian and we grew up with all sorts. I am anxiously awaiting the day we can responsibly adopt a dog and a cat as well.
Here is the UO part. I think there are about a million better things to donate your time and money to than dogs who need to be adopted. I get it. It is sad and I'm not saying it is bad to donate your money and time to them. It is better than not doing anything charitable. But, as long as there are poor kids, or adults even, I will be giving my money to help people over animals. There you have it. Go ahead and crucify me.
And @Magheeta I'm not sure we can be friends. But, I did find out a few years ago that one of my best friends (who was in my wedding) doesn't like GG and we are mostly still friends. So, there might be hope.

Not too exciting but I despise beer, wine and sushi. Everyone is always giddy over sushi and craves it, but I say gross. Seriously gross. And beer and wine?!?! Nasty. I just dont get it. Yeah ive had the good stuff, but no still awful. Can't stand the taste or smell. Now tequila and vodka, that's my style.

Yes!! I totally agree with this. Whenever one pops up on Facebook, I just start crying. Don't even get me started on Sarah Mclachlan. My DH knows to change the channel on the first note of her damn song.
@cookies754 everytime my dog puts her face through the baby gate when we sit down for a meal, I start singing Sarah Mclachlan. She is far from neglected.
My UO? I think the Olympics this year are overrated.

My UO is that I do not think manners should be forced on very young children (like 4 and under depending on the kid) They should be encouraged and modeled. Forcing them takes the sincerity out of the moment. I like it when my kid remembers to say thank you without any reminders, but I can tell he doesn't really feel any gratitude when someone else tells him to say it. I don't think it HAS to be said every single time either. Say it when you feel it.
@catem07 oh, that is a good one! I feel this way too and it's a VERY UO with my DH. I'd just rather go to national parks or cities we've never been instead. I'm sure we will go at some point though!
