Threatened Miscarriage (TW warning)

I went to the er yesterday morning. I had been bleeding and cramping since Tuesday morning. It started off slow. Then it kept getting worse. They told me at the er that I was not dilated at all. They also only saw an egg sack and a yolk on the ultrasound. I am supposedly supposed to be 8 weeks pregnant. I am on progesterone suppositories which I think I may have knicked myself with. I also had a problem with my hcg declining but it started doubling like it was supposed to. Now it is declining again. Since being on bed rest today I have been feeling better and the bleeding is decreasing but I am trying to have hope. I don't know what to do! Have follow up appointments tomorrow for more bloodwork and another ultrasound.

Were your tracking your ovulation by temping? When did you first turn a pregnancy test positive? It's possible you could have ovulated later than you thought.

However, if you know your ovulation date and you really are 8 weeks pregnant, and only seeing a sac and yolk, that's bad. I hope everything turns out okay.

I don't know of any good situations where the HCG declines. Good luck to you at your appt.

Bleeding could be related to a subchorionic hematoma, ask at your ultrasound.

I know hcg is supposed to decline a little after the 8th week. The only thing I am thinking is that my baby is hiding somewhere they couldn't see. I was really uncomfortable during the ultrasound so I don't know if she maybe shortened the ultrasound due to that.

was not tracking using temping. Based it on the first day of last menstrual period. I am also holding out hope that I am not due when I think I am and I am not as far along as we thought.

I had a similar issue with bleeding ALL of first tri. My numbers did not decrease tho. I was on bed rest and progesterone till 13 weeks. Wishing you the best! I had an mc before as well but that bleeding was much heavier and different.

So I did end up miscarrying sometime between my ER visit this past Wednesday and midday Friday. Good luck to the rest of you.
