Hi ladies! I just started a new job that I have to dress up 4 days a week and am in desperate need of a good pair of khaki pants that fit! I have tried all varieties at motherhood maternity and old navy and all of them are tight in the thighs!! I've been reading reviews for other brands online and it seems I'm not alone but nothing suggests where some wider thigh pants may exist. Anyone with thicker thighs have suggestions?!? The struggle is real!

Re: Wardrobe help!!

  • What size do you normally wear?
  • Loading the player...
  • I have some wide leg maternity khakis...I think they're Gap.

  • I was in a 14 or large prior to pregnancy. I went to an XL in the black dress pants from motherhood maternity and they fit great. The khakis are just not at stretchy or something.

I looked at gap online and found a few that seemed to have potential but of course they aren't available in the larger sizes currently.
  • Do you have a clothes mentor near you? They have maternity clothes and it's where my mom was able to find professional clothes for me (the one near me closed last year so I had her hunting hers).

Also, JCPenney/Macy's might have something - it's kind of hit and miss with them.

    Good luck!
  • Honestly, dress pants haven't been very fun to find.  I have one pair from Pea in a Pod that I really like.  Otherwise, I stick mostly to dresses & skirts, they are so much more comfy.

  • I'm plus sized and Lane Bryant starts at size 14. They definitely accommodate bigger thighs.
  • LulaRoe basically outfits me until I can squeeze back into pants. Haha
  • @jenesiso Does lane Bryant have maternity clothes that you know of?
  • @bburba no, but the larger sizes would definitely accommodate a pregnant woman.
  • I have had great success with Target clothes, Liz Lange has dressed me for my third pregnancy now. I have thick thighs and have not had a problem in fitting into those pants.
