Adult Hand Foot and Mouth--This stuff sucks

LO had HFM from daycare last week.  Her places were more on her legs and bottom than her hands, feet, and mouth though.  Anyway, I'm pretty sure I've got it now.  My hands have little red places all over them and both my hands and feet burn, itch, and tingle constantly. It hurts to even walk.

Any moms had this before?  Is there anything I can do for relief?  The pediatrics nurse said I couldn't put anything on LO's spots when I called to ask.  We didn't officially take her to the doctor over it either.  Should we have?

    I didn't get it when LO did. But my coworker did abs he said it's pretty much exactly what you said. He didn't have anything til the fever broke, then blisters all over his palms and bottoms of his feet. And he also couldn't walk. He said it was one of the worst things he has ever experienced. 

    There's no treatment. He just took baths in Epsom salts and stayed off of his feet. Took 4 days off work but it was a good week and a half before he was semi normal again. So sorry you got it!!!! It sounds dreadful!

    My hands have felt better this afternoon and evening, but my feet are driving me crazy!  They itch so badly that I can't get to sleep (which is why I'm typing this up now lol).  I tried Epsom salt today and it gave me a little relief but it was only temporary. I wouldn't wish this on anybody!

    Thanks!  I'm doing much better this morning. My hands have stopped hurting and my feet are on the way to not hurting.  I think I'm on the upswing!

    Glad you're starting to feel better! Hand foot and mouth is the WORST.
