I am looking for car seats that will replace the snugrides that we have. They will need to be able to still fit backwards in the car but I am wanting ones that will be more permanant for the next stage. Thanks!
I love our Britax Marathon but they are not cheap. I think mine cost around $295, but they are worth the money, especially if you travel abroad. Britax are approved for Europe.
I use Britax car seats. I know that some people on here say they are overrated but I saw first hand what a Britax carseat can do so I am sold. Long story short 2 babies were brought in the ER that were in Britax xar seats after their van had flipped 6 times. Mother almost dead--babies not a scratch. The van was a BMW model. After working on the mother that did eventually pass I could not believe the babies were not hurt.
I have a cross-over so I use the Britax Diplomat seat made for smaller cars and my DH has a SUV so he has the Britax Marathon.
Everyone told me a 1,000 times get the Marathon. It is the best! It is perfect! You will love it! I hated it My rec is check the safety ratings (Britax and Evenflo are top rated and almost identical from what I've read), see what works well for you vehicle and keep the reciept. I ended up with the Evenflo Titan Raceway with Memory foam and it was just perfect for us! You might be different so keep an open mind and keep the reciept

I like our Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 because it converts to everything. They only thing I don't like is that the straps sometimes get twisted, but I think a lot of carseats do that occasionally.
We bought the First Years True Fit....I haven't put it in my car yet since DS still fits the infant carrier, but it gets good reviews. It RF's to 35lbs and FF's to 65....I might've gone with the Comfortsport or the Evenflo Triumph or Titan otherwise.
We have the Britax Boulevard. We chose it because of the True Side Impact Protection. It made me feel better since so many accidents are side impact. So far it is a very nice carseat.
We just bought two Eddie Bower 3-in-1's. They rear face till 35 pounds and FF to 100 pounds. For $80 at BJs, we couldn't pass it up and it meets or surpasses all the standards. I admit I feel a little guilty about not being able to buy the Britax, but as someone on here pointed out before: Just because it costs more doesn't mean it is better.
