Saw this on August 16 and thought we could use one of these too! While I'm super impressed with the nursery/craft thread and everyone who has their hospital bags packed, I want to hear from our procrastinators as well! What do you still have left to do?

Study for/Write my NCLEX (nursing boards)
So much of this is going to have to be done in late Aug/early Sept, because my NCLEX exam is on the 24th and dear GOD I have not studied enough. Which makes me anxious so what do I do? Procrastinate by trying to prep for baby, which leads to more anxiety because I'm not studying... the struggle is real.
Get guest room loft ready (not gonna happen)
donate some of the girls old toys. I can't stand the clutter anymore
wash and separate/ organize all baby clothes
Clean and organize nursery closet
install car seat
Clean out pantrys and fridge
Buy diapers. I seriously have none for baby!
need a new swing
oh ...and get my lovely 3yo to sleep through the night again!!

- Organize/donate/put away my clothes which are stacked high on a couch in the garage
- Put my shoes/sandals away because they no longer fit (strewn about floor of garage)
- Order Owlet (will do so next week, since has 30 day return policy and would prefer to have an open return window after we've been able to use it and see if we like it)
- Box up our books from the nursery closet/former office to make room for the diapers which are haphazardly stacked along LO's new little shelf
- Clean out car and move hospital bag/suitcase to car
- Contact puppy's foster mom to see if she's avail for dog sitting when we're at the hospital
(Totes procrastinating on anything not nursery related b/c the other sh-- just isn't as fun.)(And I'd a hundred thousand times rather hang out on this BMB than take care of anything house related.)

No for real... My nesting bug is non-existent with this pregnancy. Probably because every time I walk up a flight of stairs I need to sit down to rest until my crotch stops throbbing. It's awful. I've bought a bunch of stuff, but her room is still a shambles. Nothing is assembled, nothing is washed. I'm figuring she'll be in the rock 'n' play in our room for a couple months after she's born anyway, so as long as I've got some diapers on hand then the rest will come together later.
I am the complete opposite of how I've been with my last two. It's very strange.

So glad I'm not the only one. We've made progress the last two weeks which I am so proud of, but still lots to do:
Things I would like to do but probably won't happen unless he's extremely late:
All of this is after the Olympics are over, obviously.
Do everything
Decide to do nothing and Ask DH to do it instead
Watch the Olympics/Netflix.
I am seriously so overwhelmed by our to do list and I tend to just shut down and do nothing when I get overwhelmed, so here's to hoping DH can handle everything that needs to get done. Otherwise, most of it will be handled after baby arrives.
I think our biggest priorities are to wash/sort and put away the baby clothes, refinish the bathtub, install the carseat, and get it checked.
Everything else will either get done or not and I'm refusing to freak out if it doesn't get done. It'd be great to do some deep cleaning and hard core organization, but it's not like I won't be able to take care of baby if his or her clothes are in laundry baskets instead of closets. As for picking a pediatrician, I'm fairly certain if I don't have one, the hospital will just send someone from one of their clinics to check the baby, and if I don't like him or her, I'll just follow up with a different one!
Other than the gifts I've received from my baby showers, I have done and purchased nothing.
It's OK because I'm not into having an elaborate nursery or anything and we have the basic stuff we need (pack n play, car seat etc) but my nesting instinct is really kicking in and I have no way to release it except packing/cleaning my current apartment.
Oh and all our gifts are at my mom and aunts house because we had nowhere to store them! All we have on us are the bare necessities.
- Clean out the cars
- Find the car seat bases and install them
- Clean the car seat, swing, and boppy covers
-Deep clean our bedroom
-Deep clean our closets (have to purge stuff now that we don't have a guest room!)
-Pack hospital bag
-Preregister at the hospital
-Buy diapers
-Unpack and wash bottles
-Clean pacifiers
-Order breast pump
NBR stuff that nonetheless has to happen before the baby comes...
-Pick out a new car (ours is being recalled and the buy back is in October, so we want to be ready with a choice)
-Throw a 2nd birthday party for our first child. And all that goes with that.
