  • I have my 6 week PP appt tomorrow. I'm really excited to get in a pool. Otherwise I've just been walking and doing kegels.

  • @26pointrunningfor2 woo hoo on the plank challenge! I got comfortable at 60 seconds but when it jumped to 90 seconds I suffered! I'm going to have to stick at 60 seconds fit a couple of days and build up. No way was I going to make it to the goal of 5 minutes by the end of the challenge!

Last week I rocked the elliptical and by day the was doing 45 minutes each day. Only day I didn't was when we traveled out of town yesterday. I also counted all of my calories except yesterday and today. Back on elliptical today and plan to keep it up all next week. Just a few pounds away from my next goal and super excited to get there. Also felt really good in the outfit I picked out for the family reunion yesterday. Husband is on the fit tend with me and we are being super supportive of each other. I'm getting pumped about my progress!
  • Run 3 days this week, one mile each time

    walk each day

continue my core workout each night before bed
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    BabyFruit Ticker
  • Walk 45min everyday....anything extra is a bonus.
  • My goal is to go to baby bootcamp three days this week. But I'm already hitting a problem. It's raining. I keep checking to see if they've moved the location to an indoor place, but with an hour and a half to start time I haven't heard anything.
  • How are bfeeding ladies working on diets while maintaining supply?  I'm nervous to try any kind of calorie control because I'll be returning to work full time in two weeks and pumping and already barely get 3.5 ounces from both boobs each time I pump, but it seems impossible to lose weight without reducing calories.  Are you all just focusing on eating healthy?  To be clear, I don't want to severely restrict my calories, but I'm worried I'll have to maintain eating 500 more calories per day in order to keep supply up, and that seems like it would make weight loss difficult.  I work out doing HIIT and power yoga workouts, but seem to have reached a plateau with 18 lbs to lose.

I don't really count calories while BFing. I just eat whenever I'm hungry and do my best to make sure it's something healthy. I'm not doing anybkind of major exercising other than walking each day.

Same, I just make good food choices and eat when I'm hungry.  Now that supply has regulated, I also only get about 4oz total.  My LC says that's normal for pumping.

Ok that's good to know because before I was getting like 5-6 oz just from the right side (1-2 from my pathetic left).  I won't worry so much then, thank you!

Yup, that's what I usually get when I pump too.
  • Oh, so today we went for a walk cause Preston and I both had gas pain that needed working out and DH and I walked our circuit playing Pokemon go.
  • I also get about 4 oz total.

I've been running but it's been brutally hot. I usually wait until 730ish to get out once the sun has gone done. I can't tell if I've made any progress in the last week and a half and I'm too afraid to step on the scale. I'm also irritated that running 3 miles feels so taxing when I used to easily run 6. I'm not thin enough to wear my regular clothes and maternity stuff is too big....ugh

Same here : (  I actually got out the bella band again to make some pants work for now! But I have to give in and go shopping. I just worked my way up to 3 (sloooow) miles, sadly a big accomplishment when I used to run twice as far so quickly and easily (sigh)

I keep telling myself to focus on where I am vs yesterday, not vs a year ago...
  • @cdnrunning and @Lizbeth86 I feel the same way about the running feeling so taxing. I am up to 5 miles now, but I've never felt so out of shape. All of my mom friends keep reminding me that breastfeeding requires a lot of energy and that its summer here in AZ, but I can't help but feel defeated!
  • @26pointrunningfor2 and @Lizbeth86 thanks for joining my pity party  I also try to remind myself that I've come a long way since I delivered but that makes me feel as good as when someone tells me my baby is going through a phase while she wails in my face nonstop for hours...yeah thanks, I feel so much better now lol. Interestingly, I find crossfit easier than running - it's usually the opposite. I'm sure part of that is that it's air conditioned rather than 100+ degrees.....
  • I was telling a friend of mine that the trek to get back in shape wouldn't be so bad if 1) I knew for sure my body would get close to where I was before by a certain time, and 2) I didn't have to dress myself in the meantime!
  • I go for my 6 week follow up tomorrow and I see no reason I wouldn't be released for exercise.  Started dieting/portion control today and got on my treadmill for the first time in forever.  Unfortunately it's in my garage right now and living in the southeast means it's not feasible to use it all that often until it cools down. I'm down 30 and  I'm shooting for another 20.  Hoping to get it in gear and get this weight gone!
