Re: Monday Ticker Change - 8/8
What size is baby? Honeydew melon. I have a growth scan on Friday (my last one) so I'm curious to see how big he is estimated to be. I'm guessing close to 7 lbs. since he was about 5 lbs. at 32 weeks.
Upcoming appointments? NST and fluid check tomorrow, office appointment with my MFM on Thursday and NST and growth scan on Friday.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Acid reflux is kicking my ass. I was woken up last night by acid shooting up my throat and my throat is so sore today. Also the feet and hand swelling is worse and I'm just overall uncomfortable.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Well, my already small list of foods (due to GD) is getting smaller thanks to trying to avoid heartburn. So I would say an aversion to anything remotely spicy or resembling a red sauce.
GTKY: Do you have any "guilty pleasure" baby names that you like but could never actually use? Share please! I love the name River for a boy but it just isn't something I could actually use. I also love the style of double names but I feel like that is a southern thing (think along the lines of John Ross from the show Dallas lol) and I live in Ohio. Just doesn't fit.

What size is baby? Pineapple
Upcoming appointments? Next Tuesday, start of the weekly appts
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am so stuck on baby monitors. I'm pretty sure I want a video monitor but there are soooo many of them.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Still ice-cream and pizza
GTKY: Do you have any "guilty pleasure" baby names that you like but could never actually use? Share please! I love Saoirse and Aoife but DH vetoed them
July: Patriotic Fails
What size is baby? celery
Upcoming appointments? next week. and maybe an u/s at 36 weeks, thanks advanced maternal age!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: sexy time has gotten significantly more awkward. Rave: my swelling has gotten way better after drinking lots more water. Also, excited as August goes forward and more babies will start showing up! (Hopefully all at healthy timeframes for them of course!)
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? greek gods greek yogurt
GTKY: Do you have any "guilty pleasure" baby names that you like but could never actually use? Share please! Charles and Andrew are two of my favorites, but H isn't on board.
What size is baby? celery
Upcoming appointments? next week starts weekly appts
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm stuck on what to do with the nursery and it's stressing me out. I know it's stupid and pointless to worry, and even if baby comes tomorrow we have clothes and a bed, but it's not a cute room yet and I'm just at a loss as to what to do next.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? selzter water and juice or lemonade are favorite drinks. I don't have much of an appetite for actual food at this point.
GTKY: Do you have any "guilty pleasure" baby names that you like but could never actually use? Share please! I love the name Oliver, but it's too popular for DH and I. I'm on the "let's use it anyway" side, but he vetoed it. I also really love the name Quinn but it doesn't sound good with our last name.
What size is baby? romaine lettuce, 19 inches and 6+ lbs - I'm feeling every bit of that right now
What size is baby? Baby was measuring around 4.5 lbs at my BPP on Friday. I'm done with the fruit sizing. It makes no sense.
Upcoming appointments? I'm supposed to have another BPP on Friday but they didn't have any appointments so I'm on a waiting list. The receptionist said someone would have their baby and then I'd get a spot. I'm not really worried but I'm sure if I don't hear from them I'll start to worry.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm getting my crib and dresser/change table on Thursday! Soooo excited for that
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Heartburn has been an issue but I'm figuring out my trigger foods and avoiding them. Also drinking more water which is helping.

I don't know the corresponding fruit but baby was estimated to be almost 6 pounds a week and a half ago. I have a growth ultrasound a week from Thursday to see if this LO will be a ginormous baby like my first daughter. Fingers crossed for relatively normal size!
upcoming appts: see above. I can't wait to have that growth ultrasound.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Had an awesome shower over the weekend. I loved having so many people who wanted to share the excitement with me. I felt very loved!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Joint pain, especially in the morning. Ready for that to go away...
GTKY: Do you have any "guilty pleasure" baby names that you like but could never actually use? Share please! Not that I can think of. There are plenty of names I like but we won't use for various reasons, but none of them would qualify as "guilty pleasures". Mostly just things that DH doesn't like as much or that don't fit with our last name.
@crispy11 @ducks6 @Sarafuss I was having horrendously painful heartburn, but my OB told be Prilosec is safe in the 3rd trimester. I started it a few days ago and haven't had any reflux or heartburn since. I highly recommend it!
@Steephers123 DH is big on doing thorough product research before buying, especially for tech things, and he decided on the HelloBaby video monitor. I can ask him for more details on why he picked this one, if you'd like!

What size is baby?
Celery Stalk
Upcoming appointments?
36 week ultrasound in 2 weeks
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Annoying labor stories I never asked to hear and people assuring me I won't be able to lose the weight after baby. People excited for how big my bump is. And more and more people touching the bump is getting annoying as well. I've blocked a few hands already.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Back to craving sweets daily but doctor wants my weight gain to completely subside so I am trying (and failing) to resist.
GTKY: Do you have any "guilty pleasure" baby names that you like but could never actually use? Share please!
as a kid, I named my Barbie Ileandra and swore I'd name my firstborn baby girl that. Of course, I never would, but it's a lol just thinking about it. Also, chrysanthemum. Hah, can u imagine!!?
