Funny you should ask.... when my nurse called today with my E2 number she told me to make sure I drink tons of fluids with electrolytes. I asked her if the gatorade I had in the fridge was good enough and she said yes, but V8 was really good too (something I had never heard before). Personally, I don't think I can drink a "minimum of 8 glasses" of juice so I have been kind of switching it up all day.
There is a new V8 Splash with pomengranite and blueberry that I happened to buy a couple of days ago because from what I understand pomengranite is good for stimming. It tastes ok ...and its one full serving of fruits & veggies

I thought that half the point was that V8 is high in sodium. You need to sodium to draw fluid away from the abdomen.
I was thinking this too.

...oh ()...thanks for the info ~ but I think the hot sauce I add has alot of sodium, so DH told me to get the low sodium so it wasn't too much....does that make sense..??..(I use Catalina)
popping in late on this, but last fresh cycle my RE told me to drink V8. When my E2 got almost too high he basically said not to drink any water - just V8 and anything else with sodium. He said gatorade is ok but doesn't have a ton of sodium. I hate V8 so I was whining about it but I did it anyway.

Last cycle I was told V8 was better but not the fruit V8, the regular old tomato V8, so sorry no pomegranate flavor.
I can't really choke that stuff down, so I stuck to gatorade
