hi mommas I'm so scared because I had a rough year between losing my daughter 6months last May and my husband had an affair with someone very close to me she threatened him if he didn't sleep with her that she's claim rape etc etc this pregnancy was not planned it was the first time in a year we had sex and I even took planb and I was on birth control I guess some angel of mine is giving us a sign we've been better than ever which I'm grateful so I've been on Xanax n other meds I see my dr soon but I'm so scared.... Has any other mama taken these meds during pregnancy this time or last time around? What did your dr say? Please don't judge me I'm getting off of them once I wean down within 2 weeks I'm just scared for baby :(

  • I take prozac. I talked to my ob/gyn and my psych about it before we started trying. Prozac is apparently not an issue at all for pregnancy. I can't speak on any others. You have to remember to take care of yourself first. If you're not healthy then your baby won't be either. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Talk to your doctors about what's safe during pregnancy.

  • Thank you for your reply I called I'm waiting for a call back I e never been on these meds before and pregnancy was unexpected but I'm so excited I can handle being off of them from what and how I feel now I just can't do it cold turkey. Thank you so much
  • I take lamictal and trazadone. I was taking Xanax prior to ttc. My dr said it best to come off it if I could. But all situations vary.

  • Before i had my first, I was on wellbutrin but was told to wean off of it before TTC. Be very careful after you have your baby with PPD and anxiety. It's a greater risk if you have had depression or anxiety in the past. Ypu can breastfeed on some meds. PPD and anxiety hit me.hard and it was very rough. You need an advocate who will drag you to your doc at any sign of PPD. Mine came on slowly and I just didn't see it until it was really bad. Instead of enjoying my newborn I was miserable for months. Take extra care of yourself. Highly recommend a therapist, especially if you have to get off meds
  • Thank you so much for your advice I'm seeing a therapist aug30 and in the meantime my dr thanks again mama
