Hi Newbies! Welcome to the community!

Some great tips for benefiting from this wonderful community:

- Read the Newbie Thread pinned at the top of this board. It is full of really helpful TTC advice and knowledge.

- Participate! Join the WTO (Waiting to Ovulate) and TWW (Two Week Wait) threads. This is a great place to let everyone know where you are at in your cycle, rant and/or rave about anything (TTC-related or not), and have any questions answered.

How many months have you been TTC?

After 6+ years together and 3 years waiting for a good time, this will be the first month TTC

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?

Tracking BBT

Ive swapped black tea for green tea hoping maybe it'll boost CM, per things I've seen on this board (always been a tea person over coffee)

I have wondfo OPKs but not sure if I will use them this cycle.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)

I work half time 2nd shift at a hospital. I'm in graduate school full time pursuing my MPH, and will graduate April 2017. I also work about 15 hours a week as an intern for my city government. So, lately I keep pretty busy.

I love baking, it has always been a hobby of mine. I also love reading and watching TV when I get the time (my favorite shows are Game of Thrones, Fargo, Baskets, and Better Call Saul). I love the water, I live less than an hour from Lake Michigan & don't get there as often as I should. I love to travel (DH & I are headed to Alaska on a cruise in under 2 weeks!) Fall is my favorite season (I'm one of those obnoxious pumpkin everything girls). DH & I have a French bulldog who is super sweet and too spoiled.

Hi everyone! I'm a long time lurker, but decided to join once this new intro thread was started. I am originally from Canada (Vancouver), but I temporally live in the Los Angeles area. My DH and I both work at a university. DH is in his last year of his PhD. We have no pets or children.

What are you doing to get knocked up: sex EOD, not ventured into charting or temping as of yet

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have a 3 yo son from a previous relationship, we have no pets for the time being- maybe a dog soon! DH loves to hunt, and in our spare time we hang out by the pool! I work for an Oral Surgeon while DH is a UPS driver.

Hi everyone! I have been lurking for a year now and have learned so much from this community- thank you! I work in Pediatrics and love it! I need a hobby, lately it has only been TTC related. Prior to TTC I would run, read, cook- I need to get back into these things as TTC has currently been taking over my life. I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Ages: I'm 34, he's almost 33.

How many months have you been TTC? Since April, so this is our fifth cycle (although I've been temping since January).

WAYDTGKU? Temping, CM, Clearblue Fertility Monitor (plus prenatals, Omega 3, B100, vitamin C, CoQ-10) and down to one coffee a day.

Tell us about yourself: No kids, but one large, stupid dog

My day job is being an in-house lawyer, but I also have an Etsy shop selling cross stitch patterns. Originally from Scotland, but now in Vancouver, BC.

I've been really active on the Reddit TFAB board, but I'm getting worn down by the constant stream of excited newbies posting BFPs everywhere and relying on old wives tales for TTC advice.

When I read "thrives on science, facts, stats, and snarky gifs" in the rules here, I knew I'd found my people

Hi everyone! Excited to be here!

Ages (you and SO): My name is Mary and I am 31 years old. My husband, MJ, is 29.

How many months have you been TTC? We have been married for three years and TTC for 3 months (technically 2 months, starting our third month now).

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? ALL THE THINGS! I've been off BC for 8 months now and taking prenatals for just as long (plus a long list of random other supplements). I've been tracking my cycles for the last 8 months and wouldn't ya know it, the second we started "trying" my steady 27 day cycle randomly turned into a 31/32 day cycle?!...wtf?! Anyway, needless to say, I've missed my ovulation window the last two tries. Grr. Anywho, this month I will be using a bunch of ovulation trackers.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)- HI GUYS! I am a school psychologist by day and a doctorate student by night and my husband is a radio DJ by day and an MBA student by night. We also have three dogs but no babies just yet. MJ and I have been married for almost 3 years and we live in Chicago. We love to hang out with our pups, binge watch all the TV, workout (him more than me), and travel. Because we are both in school and working full time, "fun" is a little different than it was in years past but we are excited to add just a little more stress to our lives by trying to get pregnant. I've been a lurker for some time now but the last two months of trying have been kind of lonely and I'm craving some lady support...MJ just doesn't understand ovaries and cycles like you guys

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Temping, checking CM, PNV.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) So we are trying for #3. DD is 5, (Lurker on Sept 2010 board), DS is 3 (off and on poster on June 2013).
I'm an interior designer and DH works in finance. We have 2 kitties, we love Disney, loved it before kids, now love it even more with kids! We are in Central Florida, so we go pretty frequently.
Looking forward to chatting with everyone!

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? TTA at the moment. We haven't decided on a start date yet, but I have been lurking for a while and I really want to start joining in on the conversations.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have a son almost 14 months and two crazy cats. I work at the local hospital as a scheduler. I enjoy chasing the munchkin, baking, reading, watching baseball and I am currently learning how to crochet (if you like crooked scarves, I'm your girl!). Can't wait to get to know you all!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I am a long time (10+ mo) lurker who is finally jumping in. Previously diagnosed with unexplained infertility, *TW* after 2.5yrs, 6 rounds of IUI, and late 1st trimester loss we got pregnant with our rainbow babies. end *TW* The twins are now 15mo and keep us running. I'd love to add to our family, not sure we can do it with out help again but we're going to try for a bit and then decide if we want to pursue treatment again or adoption. I have two cats, and in what me time I get I love to bake, read, garden and do yoga.

I look forward to participating and contributing to this great community.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Started temping this cycle, OPKs, just picked up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility this weekend, WOW what a great resource!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
We will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary next month. We do not have any kids, anxious for a first! We both work in construction management, I work in residential, he is in commercial. We have 3 pups that definitely keep us on our toes. Our free time is spent mostly working on our home! Looking forward to getting to know everyone on here!

@Knottie71511487 Welcome! My husband is in the construction field as well. I suggest that you change your username to something more unique so that we can get to know you better. The standard knottie and a bunch of numbers is hard to remember and/or recognize. You can change your username through The Knot. It might take a day to reflect the change. However, in the meantime, join in the WTO and TWW boards!

How many months have you been TTC? I got the Mirena out in May and we waited a cycle before TTC so this is our 3rd month.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?

OPK and trying not to over think it! PNV

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have a 4 year old boy. I was on April 2012 some. I tried to participate a lot but worked in daycare so by the time I could comment there wasn't much left to say. I work with my husband now, mainly doing office work for an insurance restoration company (construction). We have 2 dogs; a 5 year old Bichon/Shi Tzu mix named Phoebe and a 9 week old silver lab named MacKenzie (Mac for short). We just moved and bought a house so we stay busy unpacking, finishing the basement, and keeping up with a 4 year old. He's starting gymnastics and soccer soon, plus swimming lessons so busy busy!

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? PNV's, HIO and I just ordered a bunch of opk's and some fertility tea.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)- I'm a mom to an adorable Pug named Bella. I work in a photo lab and the cash office at Walmart. There's not much to tell about myself. I'm pretty boring! I'm glad I'm finally able to post on here. It wasn't working for me for a while.

Im not totally new, but im back at it again, so figured I would introduce myself again.

Ages (you and SO): Im 28 and my SO is 26

How many months have you been TTC? Started TTC in April, had a BFP on Memorial Day, but this miscarried in July. Just started AF (Finally!) and am getting back in the game, so i guess 3 months, but it feels like forever!

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I did temp and OPK test just before the BFP in May, So I am planning on doing the same this time around. Hoping for a short TTC again.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have a puppy (2.5 years) and live in Somerville MA. right now my hobbies are all realated to my new home. My husband and I just bought a house and have been renovating the whole thing. We only have a small amount left to deal with, but now we are waiting for a new BFP to start the nursery. We also love going out with our dog on poke-walks (walking while playing pokemon Go). We live in a pretty urban area so we have a lot of fun just going out and catching them!

I'm 28, S.O. 29. TTC for about a year. Don't know what's wrong with me - no PCOS, endometriosis or anything. I just have irregular cycles and never know when or if I ovulate. I'm doing BBT and going to start the OPK's soon. I'm an RN. I live in Canada. I have a dog and a cat.

How many months have you been TTC? 15 months

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Just discovered Wondfo OPTs and preseed, used those both this cycle. Also: BD (I'm practicing using my TTC acronyms

), vitamins (fish oil, Rainbow light prenatal, and cinnamon), keeping track with an app (though not true charting yet), and getting diagnostic tests done next month. I'm trying "royal jelly"/honey next cycle because why not? And it tastes yummy!

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
Right now I think I am benched. Still haven't had AF since our loss. Waiting for bloodwork results from my OB and hopefully we can start ttc again soon!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)

No kids, just one fur baby that is 5ish. We adopted him from a shelter two years ago and he is the biggest diva! He only drinks filtered water and has to sleep under a blanket with a pillow. He will whine and cry until his needs are met!
I teach 3rd grade and am trying to get myself back in school mode. When I'm not grading papers or planning lessons I enjoy baking and sewing.

I am 26 (27 on the 24th of this month) my husband is 29 (will be 30 in December). We got married last year (5/15/15)

How many months have you been TTC?
We are not yet TTC, although I would really like to. Hopefully we will be starting next Spring

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
Right now I am taking daily vitamins to make sure my body is healthy and read! Regular daily vitamins, I will make the switch to prenatal when we are closer to deciding to conceive

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
I am a Certified Medical Assistant, and my husband works security. We have no children, and recently became petless (we had to put my cat down). We have a rather empty household right now. We both spend most of our time working (me 40 hours a week, my husband 65 hours between two jobs), planning on buying a house in the early spring. In our downtime we really like playing video games, watching a lot of youtube. I recently started title boxing, and my husband goes to a gym 5 days a week. We are both really working towards healthier selves, and losing some weight. We are also super nerds and do an activity called Dagorhir. (we hit friends with foam weapons.) It's a great stress reliever and is an easy way to take some time away from real life.

@lissylew Welcome! I'm sorry you haven't had success yet TTC. How long have you been charting your BBT? Have you been able to see a temp rise? The using a combo of OPK's and BBT is very helpful, and if you post your chart in the WTO/TWW board, people are usually happy to help with the interpretation. Has your partner had an SA checked? (semen analysis)

Hola! I'm pretty new here, just started lurking about a week ago. Super excited and am loving all of the great info in these threads :-) I'll try not to totally "newb" out LOL

How many months have you been TTC? Just went off BC last month. Historically, women in my family get pregnant relatively quickly. So, even though its early days for us and it may not be as easy for me to get knocked up as the rest of the women in my family, I'm trying to be as educated and prepared as possible!

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? PNV, OV app ... originally we were NTNP, but its damn hard to not be purposeful about it!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) No kids yet! My DH and I have been together for 10 years, married for 4. We have two dogs & two cats. We moved from Colorado to a small town in North Dakota about 18 months ago for my DH's job (HUGE culture shock). He works in oil production, and I work in economic development for the small town that we live in. I'm a horse person; particularly into hunter/jumpers dressage, and eventing - for reference - all of the equestrian events at the Olympics. I'm also into, boating, cooking, and nutrition. DH likes to fish, boat, play video games, work on our house, and is just getting into hunting because its impossible to live in ND and not hunt ;-)

How many months have you been TTC? We are currently TTA and have 6 1/2 more weeks until we can't TTC after our recent vacation.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?

I have been using FAM to avoid for the past couple of years. DH has cut back on coffee. I am tracking BBT, CM, OPKS, PNV, and I will add green tea to that list soon.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.).
I did intro months ago, but stopped responding to posts because I needed a bump break, so I figured that I would reintro.

I have 2 daughters who are 2 and 3 right now. I stay at home with them which is awesome most days. I like to read, run, and crochet.

Hi! Long time lurker here, first time poster.

Age: I'll be 25 in two weeks, DH is 24.

This is our first month TTC. Since I had my first visit from AF when I was 12 I've always been like clockwork, so I know I'm currently 4dpo. Waiting is KILLING ME.

For TTC I've been charting my CM, and that's about it. Using Ovia on my phone. I'm so regular hopefully I don't have to do much more and 1st time is the charm.

I'm a 2nd grade teacher, so if we don't conceive this month or next we'll probably put it on hold until next year; wanting the little nugget to come right before my summer vacay so I don't have to worry about MLeave.

Nice meeting all of you!
