Re: Health and Fitness Check-in ~ 8.8.16
The usual - just keep it up. My diet is pretty healthy and stable in general. So just no going rogue on the desserts, and I should be good.
What is your fitness goal this week?
To do something more than just sitting on my butt as many days as possible.
Any challenges this week?
Other than the usual - life, a toddler, fatigue and RLP - naw.
How did you do with your goals last week?
So much better than in previous weeks! I'm scheduling a small break at work every day when I make myself do something, and I'm proud that I held myself to it.
Monday - 1 mile walk
Tuesday - 1 mile walk
Wednesday - Lower body workout
Thursday - Upper body workout and 1/2 mile walk
Friday - 1 mile walk
Saturday - nothing
Sunday - 2 mile run and a long walk through the park to the farmer's market
GTKY: In honor of supportive moms/mom athletes everywhere, what activities or sports are you most excited about your child(ren) (or future child(ren)) trying for the first time?
No clue...whatever she wants. I did dance as a child - ballet and jazz - and DD sure does like to dance. So it would be sweet to see her follow in those footsteps there.
Bonus Bumpie Challenge: Ensure that each dinner includes either a (healthy) vegetable or fruit at least 4 days this week.

2- swimming today but probably not a full workout. I did a huge hike yesterday and have another on Tuesday. Friday I need a workout but we'll see what I can put together
3- meh. I didn't set super specific ones because of travel. I did a couple workouts but the wedding events I've been to in the meantime have had amazing food = chow down town
4- I want to see what kind of a runner my little guy is
5- fruits and veggies are generally plentiful in my diet
What is your fitness goal this week? Try for 4 days of being active. I got the Beachbody Country Heat in the mail over the weekend and plan to do that this week to check it out.
Any challenges this week? Dentist appointment tomorrow after work, but can still work out once I am home. We have tickets to a concert (Boyz II Men/ En Vogue) Wednesday night, so I won't do anything that day. That is about it.
How did you do with your goals last week? Alright, I think. I can't remember what they were. I know I got a least one good workout in (Zumba) and did some yoga another day.
GTKY: In honor of supportive moms/mom athletes everywhere, what activities or sports are you most excited about your child(ren) (or future child(ren)) trying for the first time? It really all depends, as we want him (them, if we have more than 1) to do what they want to do. But, I hope he would be interested in sports, as both DH and I are sports fanatics. DH played football and some basketball, and also ran track. I was more into basketball, volleyball, softball, track stuff off and on... and grew up loving baseball. Oh, and some swimming lessons! I was also in tap dance, baton twirling, and was in gymnastics for 10 years.

What is your fitness goal this week? Go to my exercise classes, walk 3 miles when I don't
Any challenges this week? Um, just this stupid Vegas heat that prevents me from going outside.
How did you do with your goals last week? I'll give myself a B+. I did really well on the Whole30, giving myself a pass for a birthday party I attended on Saturday. (I know, not what you're supposed to do, but I'm an adult, dangit, I do what I want.) But then I only went to two exercise classes, and didn't end up walking as much as I'd wanted.
GTKY: In honor of supportive moms/mom athletes everywhere, what activities or sports are you most excited about your child(ren) (or future child(ren)) trying for the first time? I'm hoping to turn this kid into a swimmer. We'll put him in infant swim classes as soon as we can.
Bonus Bumpie Challenge: Ensure that each dinner includes either a (healthy) vegetable or fruit at least 4 days this week. No problem, I spent like, eight hours prepping all my meals for the week yesterday!

What is your fitness goal this week? be active at least four days this week.
Any challenges this week? I need to make sure to find the time and not come up with excuses
How did you do with your goals last week? just ok. I was active but I think Baby was having a growth spurt because I was sooo hungry for about four days straight so I felt like I was eating all the time
GTKY: In honor of supportive moms/mom athletes everywhere, what activities or sports are you most excited about your child(ren) (or future child(ren)) trying for the first time? I tried a bunch of different sports growing up, but by ten I was doing soccer and swimming year round. DH played baseball and football and did motorcross through high school. I'm just hoping our kids find something they enjoy and stick with
