  I'm in a somewhat similar boat. The only advice I can give you is to set boundaries now. If you don't, it's only going to get worse. Outline for your mother exactly how you feel: that your in-laws are your family as well and there is no hierarchy in who can love the baby the most. And you need to set boundaries about how she behaves around your father and the baby now. Tell her in no uncertain terms that she can't be hostile in front of the baby, it makes things stressful and uncomfortable for everyone.
  
  It really sucks when parents can't behave like adults but you need to remember that this time is for you, your husband and your baby. Anyone or anything that makes you stressed or uncomfortable needs to be stopped and hopefully, setting boundaries before the baby is born will help somewhat with that. Good luck.
