Hey, Ladies. So, we're thinking about going on a spontaneous road trip to go visit family. I'm thinking about getting a pack'n play as a makeshift crib for the trip. He's 6 months now, and about 19 lbs. Would a pack'n play be appropriate? Do I need to buy anything else for it, like a mattress? I don't have time to go look at all the stuff at the store and change my mind 100 times, so I was hoping you all can give me some advice. Also, any other advice about road tripping with a baby would be appreciated. We're going to take our time and split it up as much as possible. Thanks.

Also, make sure to bring a trash bag for the car. We also found it was easier to have diapers and wipes just stashed in the back seat pocket, so when we had to do quick changes, we weren't digging through the diaper bag. I also went and both a couple of new small toys for her to play with in the car, which helped with the bored one. Finally, we did most of our drive home after her bed time, so she slept for like 300 miles. Good luck!
