We are going camping tonight, and tomorrow, will be returning Monday. We wanted to take our kids before baby comes along and puts a stopper on that for a few years. It should be fun but I'm not looking forward to the 2 am pees and we're doing it rugged style with the tents and no Electric, so we'll see how fun and relaxing it is.
Just work. Our location has our annual inventory count and I'm running control table... which means I have to be there for the whooooole thing. And it's overnight, and I've had one day off out of the last ten. Wish me luck! I will have Monday off, and then back to the grinder. Blahhh.
We have a wedding this afternoon and I just feel kind of blah about it. It's a gorgeous day and it's outdoors, but I'm feeling laaaaarggge and pukey and just don't feel like hangin with a bunch of party people right now! Time to put on my big girl panties and just have some fun, damn it!
I have a wedding this afternoon too @Jlk2016! I'm feeling the same way but I'm sure it'll be fun when it starts. It sucks not getting to drink though...

It's national night out so our local police and fire departments organized a movie night outside and some activities. Should be fun with our little man. Last night we went to our state fair and that was so fun!
We spent all day at a charity softball tournament. I was so proud of my daughter. She was so well behaved despite taking her nap 3 hours later than normal (and waking up 1 hour earlier).
Tomorrow i I told my husband I AM getting out of the house by myself. He was out of town the last two weeks for work. Power to single parents - it was hard for the two weeks I was alone. Can't imagine doing that full time.
Boring and everyone was grouchy. DD had either a bad but quick stomach bug or she ate something bad because she was sick all day yesterday. Took the kids bowling yesterday plus grocery shopping and took them to the park today (Sunday.) hope you feel better soon lfrank12. How was camping kswiger06?
We got back a couple hours ago. It went ok... our 7 year old was an absolute terror!!! All she did was cause a scene no matter what we did. She was throwing dirt while we were cooking, she threw a fit when we went into town for miniature golf (we got bored lol) just crazy stuff, she had both my husband and I pulling our hair out. Note to @WinchesterGirl this is what happens when her schedule is that out of whack... I have tender bruised feeling hips and sides due to the hardness of the ground, we had pads under us, but still not soft enough. My husband is going to order better ones before our next camping trip in 2 weeks. He felt awful about my discomfort. But last night at about 12:30 made the whole weekend worth it. There were skunks galore, and last night they were the worst. They were walking right up within touching distance of us, as we tried to slowly back away. We would hear people screaming from who knows where in the park, and knew they had skunks over there too. It was super funny. At 12:30 am my husband woke me up, because the skunks got into some bag we left outside, so we went out to try and pick it up. After we got rid of the trash and got back in our tent, there was a bunch of cans and stuff getting knocked around at a neighboring site. My husband started giggling, I was trying to just get back to sleep but he just carried on, eventually he got me giggling. He was staring out a screen of our tent and saw, as the guy next door tried to wrangle his cans from a bunch of skunks, so of course my husband kept laughing. I got up to see what exactly was going on, and sure enough, the guy was trying to gently shoo the skunks, but as he got one to leave another came from behind and got some stuff, this sent me into hysterics. I couldn't control myself. Finally the guy got his stuff and started up the trail to the dumpsters, and my husband whispered, "hey watch this" before I could even respond he rips a huge one. I mean this fart was ridiculously loud, there's no doubt that the guy heard it. We both started laughing like some immature elementary kids, and I put my head down into the sleeping bag to help silence my giggles. When I came up for air, I could smell the stink of his fart, and I have ZERO tolerance for bodily odors right now. I started gagging and dry heaving. It was madness!!! It was definitely the best part of our whole trip, and it was only about 1/2 hour. But anyway, that's how camping went. Not sure it was relaxing, but it was definitely memorable.
