DH and my nephew turns 1 tomorrow!!! His party is on Sunday so we will be going to that. He's so freaking adorable! I know he's only 1, but he seems excited with the prospect of having someone to boss around soon.
Ok, I jumped to Sunday because I'm so excited about his birthday party. I was supposed to work for a bit tomorrow but now I'm off the hook, so I have no clue what to do with all my free time. Sew, probably (if I get my fabric!). I just designed another birth announcement for another nephew so I have that to work on as well as my own. This one I can share: Now to decide which to work on first (probably this one, less complicated and he's already 1). Then I have to pick up my parents at the airport and return their precious pup to them.
@phoenix870509 - that is so cute!!! How did you design that?? I'd love to make something for DS
Nothing too exciting for me this weekend. Friday - DH is working a 12, just hanging with DS. Olympics start tonight, whoot! Saturday - DH works another 12, blah. It's too hot to do much Sunday - hang with DH/DS, preseason football starts!!! Yay!
Hope you ladies are all going to have fun weekends!
Tomorrow we get to sit at home between noon and 4 waiting for a contractor. Some pipe must be leaking in the attict. So much water in the ceiling and coming down between the walls and soaking into the carpet from underneath. Only took the landlord 4 days to schedule someone to come look at it....
And then I think I'll try and spend the rest of the time starting to pack.
@jennbaylor12 I have a program on my laptop, PCStitch Pro, that I use to design all my cross stitches. Before that I used to just draw them out by hand on graph paper. I bought it years ago and it was about $60, but so worth it for me. There are some free programs online you can use, too, but I can't remember any of the ones I used to use before I got this.

Tonight DS and I will hang out. DH works late. I caved and ordered a doppler which is coming tonight, so I'm excited to listen to LO's heartbeat.
Tomorrow I have a prenatal massage at 12:30 woohoo. I may work on cleaning DS's closet and moving his dresser in there so he can have the armoire that is currently in what will be baby's room. Or we will watch movies.
Sunday church and relax.
Really looking forward to a lazy weekend. Hope all of you have a great one!
@tinattt23 at first I was like AHHH! That sounds awful. Then you said landlord and I was like - phew, rental.
were at the in laws. Yesterday was a short canoe, Today was playing with family friends and picking blueberries in the in laws backyard. Tonight is a rehearsal dinner. Tomorrow is a wedding. Sunday is an early morning hike and then a double date with dh and his best childhood friend and her partner.
Tonight we're just hanging out and watching the Olympics. Tomorrow is dinner and a movie. Sunday I fly to CA for work and DH is getting an estimate for getting the nursery painted. We lead such an exciting life!
@slartybartfast Thank goodness we don't own this dump! Haha. It's been nothing but issue after issue in the 8 months we've lived here. So glad we only have one more month until we're out. Classic landlord that picks the cheapest fix and then is surprised when everything continues to fall apart.
Either mold of mildew has already started to grow on this leak and FI has me all paranoid that it's going effect little bubba. I'm ready to be out of here!
DH's nephew's birthday party tonight. Ugh. His brother and SIL are super pretentious so it's definitely something I dread.
No clue for the rest of the weekend. I would love to try to make some progress on the disaster that is the future nursery. It's pretty much a junk room now and it's driving me nuts.
I have meet the teacher at my school tonight until 6:30. Boo. But we got the keys to our new home yesterday so we'll be over there cleaning (me) and painting (dh) all weekend. We may take the air mattress and sleep there Saturday if the paint fumes aren't too bad.
We went to a multiples consignment sale tonight. I'm so glad H came to cart all the stuff! We got 2 brand new vibrating bouncers, a twin nursing pillow, bath towels, Breastmilk storage bottles, sheets for pack and play and so many clothes - many new or barely used - I think we got 12 onesies, 6 pair of pants and 5 sleepers... All for $92!!! I'm so pumped!
DS' asthma is acting up so we won't do too much this weekend unless he makes a miraculous recovery by tomorrow AM.
Today: Got to go see our baby boy today, which was so exciting. Went to Motherhood Maternity - they still have an amazing sale going on right now $5-$10-$15 for most of everything in the store. Also popped into Carter's to coo over cute boy clothes.
Saturday- Grocery shopping, GR party shopping, Baby registering.
Sunday- Gender reveal party at my grandparents. I can't wait to tell everyone.
Dh is having a guys gaming weekend at our house so I drove the two hours up to my Dad's. Visited with my aunt this afternoon and had dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
Tomorrow my ILS are doing a Grilling on the Green Fundraiser for a local park so I told MIL I'd come by. Other than that not sure what I'm doing tomorrow. I don't know what my Dad had planned.
Sunday MIL wants to do a late lunch with a friend to meet her baby, however I didn't see Dh much this past week and really just want to go home so I'll probably take off after I get up Sunday.

This weekend involves me doing a whole lot of nothing! I actually look forward to weekends with nothing to do, especially this weekend since DD started back to school yesterday.
Currently working a night shift and trying to stay awake... but got to see my baby girl earlier in the day before work so that was awesome.
Tomorrow/today (saturday): sleep for about 4-5 hours then DH wants to go to a vintage car show that is open until 4pm. Probably come home after and order a pizza and work on mudding the nursery.
Sunday: lay in the pool and relax ALL DAY LONG!!! and probably work on the nursery some more
still recovering from this horrible sinus infection that has ruined my life for the past 3 days, hoping to power through since we have all the back to school shopping to do (that we didn't get to last weekend!) and dreading the trip to Walmart since something on the supply list can ONLY be purchased there. if there is time we are going to try to clean out DD1's closet to start making room for DD2's clothes. and tonight DH is taking me out for steaks for birthday dinner since we couldn't go out on my real bd during the week. hope I am still feeling well come tonight. it's going to rain all weekend apparently so the big challenge is to keep the girls entertained and off their electronics/TV. sunday is grocery shopping and family time.
We are having over 100 people to our house for our wedding BBQ party today. We had a really small wedding on a mountain, immediate family only. So now we are celebrating with other friends and family today. Family came in from all over the country! We have been working our butts off to et the house and yard ready, we have an acre so enough room for outdoor fun. But I will admit I'm concerned for our septic tank! Lol And of course my pregnancy induced insomnia kicked in last night. I woke up 3 times, I haven't been able to get to sleep again when I woke at 4:30 am. I would normally just start getting things ready, but there are family members sleeping all over my house and I don't want to wake them unnecessarily. Wish me luck! It's gonna be crazy!

That's so funny because our neighbors just sold their house and we heard that they new ones just got their keys.... Is it that time of year? Lol! And congrats! I still remember how awesome it was when we got our keys. DD slept with us for the first 2 weeks because she was scared, she was 2 at the time. Also, you can get good paint with no VOCs (bad for you paint fumes).
@slartybartfast - thanks!!! I wish I could drink, but instead I will make some virgin mojitos. It's funny that 'virgin' is the word used when it's the opposite that has us all here and not drinking alcohol. We spent so much time preparing that today should be kind of ok.... I say that now! Luckily I've got my 2 sisters, 4 helpful teenagers, DH, sister's DH, and 2 friends helping get ready. I'm sk grateful for them!!
Last night DH and I has a date! Olive Garden and shopping. Yum.
Today's plans include working on etsy shop orders (I'm taking a break from it starting this fall - I'm so ready to crochet things for my own babies instead of other people's babies!), eating my Olive Garden leftovers (I'm man enough to admit that I woke up thinking about them this morning), and having dinner with a group of friends tonight. They're always a good time.
Tomorrow is a busy morning at church and then an outdoor VBS tomorrow night, but it will likely storm and get canceled. I hope.

We just left for our week long vacation up at the lake with DH's entire family. There are about 60 of us that rent out a resort and hang out until next Saturday. It's the best-no schedule, no makeup, on the boat, swimming and non-stop access to all the nieces and nephews. It's our favorite week of the summer and we all look forward to it all year (even my 16 and 21 year old SD's who are totally packed into the back seat as I type!).

Omg that sounds SO FUN! Our next gen on dh's side is a little behind with all the kids but I hope once they all get a little older (aka not newborn or unborn) we get traditions like this going!
DH's family has been doing this since he was in middle school (28 years now!). And it's spectacular. It's the one week that everyone carves time out to hang with family. My SIL brought up my nephew a few years back when he was just 6 weeks old. I'm going to soak it all in this year since next summer I'll be wrestling an 8 month old
Today I went to the last day of that consignment sale in my town and got a Vera Bradley diaper bag that I had registered for, but I got it for about 10% of what I would have paid for it new. Plus I got our changing table. I wasn't really expecting to do any of that but I'm glad I did. FI has been at the new job all day, tomorrow we are having dinner with his parents.
Weekend over, but it was actually a pretty productive one.
Friday night we just went for a quick supper and then came home and watched some TV.
Saturday morning, we had some pics done which included some boy items to use for public announcement. I think they went well. It was with our wedding photographer. It was like we've known her forever, ha, even though it's been almost 2 years since we last saw her. DH and I went for lunch afterwards, and then I ran some errands in the afternoon. Sunday, cleaned and organized! I think me talking about how I am overwhelmed on decorating the babies room got DH into high gear to start clearing out the room that we'll use. So, we got a bunch of our donate stuff together in a few boxes (I had a ton of clothes), and sorted through other things to get rid of... even some wedding presents that we won't ever use (some crystal vases/bowls). I also did more research on registry items, as I'd love to get the list of things from my SIL that we'll be getting so I can narrow some stuff down. Last night, we watched some Olympics... mainly cos I wanted to. I love the Olympics!
