Alright, here's my epic #tbt. To Peru, when I hiked Machu Picchu and thought I was going to die. This was the second day and we had just passed the highest part of the trail (16,000 ft). Everyone was doing great, except me. I had altitude sickness and puked my brains out every 5 minutes. Hike, puke, hike, puke, hike, puke. It was so attractive. I once had lofty hopes of hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro and possibly even Everest...but after I discovered me and altitude don't mix, I nixed those dreams.
Throwback to the when I met my future SIL, @mauishay !!! I was in Maui and a mutual friend hooked us all up so that we could crash her roller derby practice. She was heading a scavenger hunt fundraiser for their league while I was there so we formed a team to complete the scavenger hunt tasks... one of which was the Cinnamon challenge (we failed). I came home to LA and we kept in touch on facebook and instagram where she saw a pic of my brother, proclaimed her love to him and staked her claim on him from Maui. Now 4 (4? 5?) years later they're due with their first just 3 weeks after me! BEST SOUVENIR EVER!
@books&icecream I have a picture just like yours and I'm like "theres a bump!" I remember my mom saying, "no there isn't" and I was so offended. LOL. And yes, no air in Cuzco. Looking back, I should have given myself 2-3 more days to acclimate. I only gave myself 2 nights before starting the hike.
My TBT pic is from Feb 5th 2016. I finally started to bust through a plateau in my weight loss and had no clue I was pregnant (I was too busy at work realize I missed my period and take a test until a week later). I was really proud of my process in this pic so hopefully it'll help motivate me to get things rolling postpartum.
I didn't think I had anything I really wanted to post this week, but your 'I thought I had a bump' pic made me laugh so I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon. This is from March 30th. Look how proud I am of my "bump" bahaha
My progress pics... 2 pics on left were 2011 and the 2 on the right were just before pregnancy.... 65 lb difference. Didn't start working with my trainer till 2015. Can't wait to be back with him!

@kmolleltz, can I just hang with you and not hike Kili? I can volunteer and carry all the babies at your workplace!!! Also, I heard the shitters in Kili are hellish... that scares me more than the altitude. I think you look awesome rocking your bass guitar!

@kmolleltz, I stopped at "oh the toilet stories that are about to come." I'm so excited! Hahaha I'm saving it for my lunch break when I can read it in peace. This is probably best for TMI Tuesday, but: I got so so so sick in Machu Picchu and I think it's because I held my #2 in for 4 days. There was just no way I was going to go in their bathrooms. So probably I would die in Kili because then I'd have to old it in for 6 days.
@annabenanna pretty much everyone I've talked to said "I'm glad I did it but I will never ever ever do it again".... though a few said "I cant believe I did that it was so miserable" even after they finished... hahah

@kmolleltz, I"m halfway done and at the part where she steps on human poo. OMG, your friend is hilarious and I wanna meet her! lol. But yes, it sounds miserable AF. I know people who've spent $3k just to pay the outfitter for the hike... not counting the plane tix, etc. I'll take that $3k and use it for a beach vacay somewhere glam. or for a month of backpacking it somewhere nicer and with more oxygen. I can't wait to finish it!

@annabenanna I still clearly remember getting off the plane in Cuzco when I was 13 and taking a breath, then panicking because where was the air?!?
