Hello all,
OB doesn't want me gaining any more weight for the remainder of my pregnancy. Any tips on how to manage third trimester hunger? I'm eating well, but I am not really tracking my food, so maybe I'm snacking more than I think? I'm already off carbs/breads etc., besides the occasional low carb or gluten free wrap when I'm craving something bread like.

High fiber fruits and lots of water might help you stay fuller
I use Myfitnesspal to track food (I did it prior to pregnancy too) it shows you where you are getting a lot of excess, my problem is sodium. I noticed when I cut out the sodium, or at least lowered my sodium intake, I lost a lot of water weight.
I dont see you (or anyone) being able to lose weight at the same rate that the baby needs to be gaining it, which is what would have to happen.
Now, I'm certainly not advocating anyone just munch up on ice cream and pickles for an entire pregnancy. But so long as you're eating plenty of fruits and veggies, a healthy amount of protein and getting plenty of water, then personally, I'd tell them to suck it.

Some doctors can be so set on the 20-35 lb weight limit, even though it doesn't make sense for every woman. You think they'd know that? I've mentioned it before - my mom is teeny tiny, and she barely weighed over 100 lbs in her pregnancy years. She gained 60-80 lbs with each of us kids. Her Drs weren't concerned and within a month she'd lost everything but maybe 10 lbs of it. Every woman is different.
On the other hand, I've met a woman who is only a month behind me and she barely looks pregnant at all. AT ALL. She's very slender too. I'm guessing she's maybe gained 10 lbs, but after talking to her, her pregnancy has been healthy and her U/S have been great and the baby is good! So there are two examples of 10-80 lb weight gain that didn't mean anything bad.
All you can do is your best. At some point we all have to stop worrying about it.

The end is when most of the gain is had. Just try to eat healthy but don't stress or cut your food excessively as that will be worse then gaining a little extra.
