Have you done anything this week to prepare for baby? I've been sporadically throwing old things away and weeding down our possessions in preparation of our move to a 2 bedroom.
Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: Not much recently. The nausea comes and goes but it's not as bad. Hip pain is only occasional now.
When's your next appointment? August 23rd, with our AS on September 2nd.
GTKY: What's your dream vacation destination (with or without little ones)? DH and I have 4 places we want to go to with our kid one day: a trip back to Ireland, a trip to the UK, a trip to Spain, and (the one we want the most) a long trip to Japan.

Have you done anything this week to prepare for baby? Not really.
Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: OMG the heartburn, I just keep popping Tums but planning on trying ACV.
When's your next appointment? MFM 8/10 and OB 8/29.
GTKY: What's your dream vacation destination (with or without little ones)? I have a long list of places I want to visit - some more realistic than others. DH and I have started talking about going back to Argentina in 5-7 years, just the two of us. I did an internship in 2011 and DH only got to come out for a week to visit me in Mendoza. I want to take him to all the places I got to visit and see some new ones. The vacation we want to do with kids is to take them on a big summer trip to see some of the national parks in the west. It will most likely be more than one trip. My absolute dream vacation that will never happen is a trip through Africa, starting in Egypt and traveling down to South Africa.
Have you done anything this week to prepare for baby? I bought a nursing pillow using the $40 off code at nursingpillow.com (so I only paid shipping - woot!) and finally caved and bought myself a mini snoogle after a hellish attempt at getting sleep last night. Sunday can't come soon enough.
Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: Heartburn was pretty terrible yesterday, but constipation/gas has been easing and hip pain hasn't been as cumbersome. Improvement!
When's your next appointment? Anatomy scan on 8/23! Weeeeeeeeee!
GTKY: What's your dream vacation destination (with or without little ones)? Husband and I really want to go to Poland/Germany (our roots) and would LOVE to take a week long trip touring various breweries in Belgium. We're total beer nuts (get it? beer nuts?!?) ...

Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: My sinus headaches are the WORST right now. I'm constantly blowing my nose or clearing my throat. I'm reading that some people will start to feel "flutters' at 16 weeks but so far, I don't feel anything. Of course that makes me nervous. Anyone else?
When's your next appointment? Friday, August 12 and we have our full anatomy ultrasound on 8/22.

17 weeks. Baby is the size of a pomegranate and getting some bones!
Have you done anything this week to prepare for baby?
DH went to an open night at the hospital where we'll give birth. The midwife led birthing unit was BEAUTIFUL really hope I can have the baby there! Like it looked like a 4 star hotel (and it's all FREEE yay NHS) You can have an epidural on that ward, but only 25% of women in the UK have one so its a much different birthing attitude than in the US (from what I hear). Also it's right next to the main labour unit, so I'd be able to transfer if I wanted that epidural or had to have a C-Section.

Im just tired all the time. Still waiting for that second trimester energy boost. I've also had no second trimester sex drive... But besides that I feel pretty normal.
When's your next appointment?
Three weeks today for my 20 week scan. Still seems so far away. I want to know if it's a boy a girl!!

I REALLY want to go to Japan. We were supposed to go this year but my mom got sick so all our vacation has gone to back and forth trips to America. Wondering how feasible it is to take a kid.

started calling daycares, so far are all full for the next couple of years sooo it's going well!

hip is pain has been less this week which is nice, tons of heartburn and acid reflux instead.
