Whats going on this week? Appointments?
No appointments until 8/22. Other than that DH and I have our nephew's first birthday happening Sunday so we're going. Our friends have given us some of his clothes he's outgrown and told us "There's more where that came from" so we're expecting more.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rant - I'm not sleeping well. I've kicked my body pillow out of bed twice because it annoyed me more than helped. My stomach feels so heavy and I hate that off balance feeling. Also I went to start working on Squish's birth announcement yesterday and turns out I don't have enough Aida (fabric I sew on). I cried and DH said he'd buy me more, but I wanted it then so I could start on it then! I'm selfish sometimes.
Rave - my parents come back from vacation tomorrow so their dog is going back to them tomorrow!!! This dog has peed and pooped in my office out of spite in the week she has been here. Over it.
GTKY: (Stolen from Monday) What/who do you think little one will look like?
DH and I actually did Punnet squares, because we're geeks like that. A boy will certainly look like him (just how the genetic work in his family, he looks like his dad and he's the only boy) and a girl will look like me (first born child same sex as parent in my family looks like that parent, I'm a carbon copy of my mom). From the 3D sono we got at 19 weeks we can see Squish has the oval face and high cheekbones we both have. I've had 3 people say Squish is favoring me over DH, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I really hope there's a good mixture of me and DH, but I can't wait to have a curly, brown/auburn haired, brown-eyed baby running around (with a 25% shot of them having green eyes like my dad).

Today is anatomy scan day! So naturally bean isn't wiggling this morning to freak me out.

Rant: I hate mom-judging.
Rave: I finally get to see if Bean is a boy or girl today. I can't wait!
GTKY: (Stolen from Monday) What/who do you think little one will look like?
In the beginning it's going to be hard to tell. Even though we don't look alike now, DH and I looked really really similar in our under-5 pictures. We both have short legs and arms with a long torso, so you're welcome, Bean. I hope Bean gets my husband's soft curls and dark hair. I hope they have my eyebrows, eyes, and nose. DH's lips and skin tone. Most importantly I just want Bean to be healthy and happy and enjoy life.

Whats going on this week? Appointments? No appointments. About a week and half until our a/s appointment.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: almost every day the coworker next to me gives me "parenting advice" even though she has openly admitted she'd wants to be their friend rather than their parent. Consequently her kids are terrors and she thinks all kids are that way. Rave: We have a wedding this weekend for some really good friends! Also, since we moved recently we are finally getting our remaining furniture next week along with the nursery painted!
GTKY: (Stolen from Monday) What/who do you think little one will look like? I have no idea! I wonder if we'll get a feeling after our a/s. My brother and I both look like the opposite sex parent, DH and his sister follow that as well so perhaps a girl will look like DH and a boy like me. I think the most fun will be seeing how LO develops into a combination of us, including looks and personality.

How big is baby? Grapefruit? Seems smaller than the coconut from last week, but whatever. He's growing!
Whats going on this week? Appointments? Nothing until the end of the month.
Rants/Raves/Questions? If I was honest, all I'd do is complain unfortunately. Back hurts, sleeping sucks, peeing at least 3 times in the middle of the night... Buttttt those sporadic movements when I feel baby make it seem all worth it. Darn anterior placenta! I'm ready to feel him more regularly so I stop worrying.
GTKY: (Stolen from Monday) What/who do you think little one will look like? Hopefully he gets H's dark features but my light eyes. H's parents have brown and blue eyes, and mine have brown and green.. So there's a chance! Just hoping he's healthy though.
How big is baby? Size of a Barbie, chinchilla, and a grapefruit

I'm sure she will be long. I am 5'8" and my husband is 6'4". We're also very thin, so she may be kind of small, although hubs was almost 9lbs at birth. I'm sure she'll have dark hair and green/blue eyes. I hope she gets my ears!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Back pain sucks. BUT! I finally have an appointment with a physical therapist today at 4:15. Woot woot!
GTKY: (Stolen from Monday) What/who do you think little one will look like? DSS looks just like her daddy. Big blue eyes, tan skin, corn silk hair, strong straight nose. I on the other hand am a chameleon. I was born with black curly hair, which turned red between 18 and 24 months. After that my hair started falling out and as it grew back came in blonde and straight until I hit puberty. Also, of my parents had hazel eyes, mine are blue and my sisters are brown. It's anyone's guess!
