I forgot to bring my towel for the gym this morning (commute from NJ to NYC for gym/work, gym does not have towels) so I grabbed an egg & cheese and a coffee, skipped the gym, and just got ready in my office where I am currently reading celebrity gossip and bumping instead of starting actual work. I feel this will not be a very productive day for me.

I thought I'd be dying to be SAHM until I had a baby. Now I thank goodness for professional, patient, knowledgable childcare workers. Especially today.

@housewifehobbyist Don't feel bad. I did half my walking distance this morning, ate HNC, and then came to work. So far I've done two actual work related things because they had 9am deadlines and now I'm on TB. No shame.

I let my 7 year old drink coffee with me in the mornings she takes hers 2sugar with a good amount of milk. I started drinking coffee around 8 and am nice and tall at 5ft 10in. She is already 90th percentile for height so I think the BS about it stunting your growth is just that BS. Plus I love having a coffee buddy!! and at 7 she can make a pot of coffee and do the dishes, so whose the real winner here?

@LilyGracesMommy One of my favorite memories is having coffee with my dad as a very little kid. He was a professor and left the house by 6:30 AM so I would get up around 5:30/6:00 and have some quiet time with him before he left for the day. I felt so grown up! (of course it was about 40% coffee and 60% milk at the time) I don't think it was detrimental to me in the least!

I have already ordered maternity clothes from Zulily. I could not control myself, and I remember how frustrated I was with the crappy Motherhood Maternity pants I had to wear to work (which btw, the petite length shrink like 4 inches once you wash them, but not the regular length, yeah, those are a nice 2-3 inches too long after washing) So in a fit of angst, I ordered pants and leggings and am praying those will get me through.

I ordered a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts to be delivered to my house yesterday because I didn't want to put on pants and drive there. The delivery charge was so much that the total was $28... for 12 plain donuts.

@runningpenguin my toddler has to smell any flower, real or fake, anywhere we go. I'd be livid if someone bulldozed him over not paying attention.

I have not checked my email, personal or professional, in over a week. Now, I'm terrified to look because then I'd have to get up and start adulting. So I won't Until at least Sunday or maybe Monday if I feel daring.
