Hopefully the title of this thread doesn't throw anybody off, but I was wondering if any of y'all are planning on sending out birth announcement cards to friends and family. I'd like to send out cards, but how do I decide who to send them to?? It seems like there's so many people that I could put on the list, but there's the whole issue that DH and I aren't made of money.
TIA for the help!
Re: IRL Birth Announcement Cards
Five years later and I still have my wedding guest list with addresses, so that's who will get one. Plus one to my office.
Probably UO - but I hate getting announcement cards, what am I supposed to do with them? If I'm close enough to the person, I will go over and see the baby otherwise social media is enough of an announcement for me.
Do the rest of yall hate getting them too? I guess everyone in my family has always sent them out, so I just assumed we probably would too.

ETA: That is the first site to pop up on my Google search for them, filtered for free announcements. I have no connection or stake in using them for your announcement! (Just in case it looks like a sales reference
Yes we will send - we send Christmas cards each year so we'll use the same address list and maybe edit it down a bit.
Agree with PP - the original list came from our wedding.
I like getting announcements, annual holiday cards are not my favorite. Those I have no idea what to do with.
We recently pried open a steamer trunk full of my grandmother's keepsakes and momentos. So many holiday cards from the 60s and 70s of people I've never met and I feel obligated to save them because I inherited this trunk.

I have received several, but the only ones I've saved over the years are the ones from my nieces and nephews.
Last time our aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents, and close friends got them. We ordered 50, but I made them myself and ordered cheap prints on shutterfly. If I didn't send out SOMETHING my mother in law would have my head on a stick.
@SuperFudge00 is right though - Costco would be a great option for ordering the IRL announcements.
Check Groupon (when they have an additional 20-25% off) for ordering from other online sites like Zazzle.
