OKAY a little Monday vent session for ya.
Is it just me, or is anyone else tired of other people putting in their two cents when it comes to YOUR pregnancy? Let me elaborate. I was just in my husbands boss' office talking to them about some upcoming work (we work together) and his boss proceeded to tell me how much bigger I'm going to get and how I better get prepared for the stretch marks and blah blah. I told him not everyone gets stretch marks and that right now I didn't have any on my belly yet and he was just like "no you're definitely going to get them". I am 33 weeks and am fully aware that I could get them from now until after my son is born, but give me a freaking break. Just because your wife, who had twins, got them, doesn't mean every single person gets them. I even told him about my friend who just gave birth in July, literally not getting a single stretch mark throughout her whole pregnancy and after and he said "No, she probably has one somewhere". And it's not even the stretch marks that bother me, I have a ton on my ass now, it's the fact that people, in this case a person that doesn't even possess a uterus, think they know everything. You don't know my body AT ALL and you sure as hell don't know as much as you think you do about women's bodies in general. Oh and my hubs was sitting right there and said nothing, so that pisses me off more. UGH this has been a frustrating morning altogether, just glad my due date is coming up and I won't have to deal with the ignorance that is my work place for much longer.
