Try child's pose and baby pose, also cat/cow pose. I've had bad sciatica since day of this pregnancy and also before, yoga has always helped pre-pregnancy so I've just had to readjust my usual poses. Also try stretching out your hamstring.
Ouch! Sorry I had the same thing around 20weeks and it is super painful.. heating pads work temporarily but mine lasted about two weeks total and went away completely.. the sooner I took it easy and gave in to the couch for an extended period of time the better off I was. Stretching works well too
I feel your pain! I've got it, too. I've found gentle stretching to be helpful (just Google "sciatic stretches pregnancy" and a ton will come up). Heat brings me more relief than ice. My heating pad and my Snoogle are my best friends during pregnany. Also, wear supportive shoes. Avoid bending and lifting whenever possible. If you still can't get any relief, you may want to consider a massage or a chiropractor (but talk to your OB first).

This bites. I do not have it too bad. I do use a memory foam seat cushion I purchased on Amazon for work to reduce the pain (really need one for home and travel). I do light stretches when I feel the pain getting more intense. I have not tried heat pads but I may incorporate that as well.
Have you tried PT? The first trimester hormones caused the left side of my sacrum to come out of joint (it normally happens in the 3rd trimester, I was just super lucky I guess) and I did PT 3x a week for a month and it really helped. Obviously, it's different because you have nerve pain but they do things like heat therapy and massage therapy in PT as well. Good luck with whatever you try!
My husband has been massaging my butt to help. The part that really helps is deep in the muscle between the hip and hip joint, but it hurts like CRAZY. The part just above the joint is really nice. Afterward, we generally find other nice things to do, too :-) My leg numbness went away for days after he did that for me.
My sI joint is KILLING me. And there is basically nothing to do. So, I have nothing to offer but sympathy!
I had SI issues during my first trimester, it sucks. PT helped me but even as a temporary measure, the heating pad worked wonders. It was supposed to be 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off but I ended up using it 40 minutes on, 20 minutes off.

I usually fall asleep with it on most nights. It has a auto turn off after a half hourI think. But it's getting pretty unbearable and I'm only 22 weeks.
Does your heating pad have levels? When I first started using it, I had it all the way up and slowly lowered it over a few weeks. I feel like this baby is sucking the warmth from my body.

Haha I'm either sweating to death or freezing. No happy medium! I just use the middle setting.
A coworker gifted me a prenatal massage for my birthday last month and I went on Sunday. It was a godsend. I already scheduled one for September, don't tell my husband.
