Re: Bed Rest mama check-in
this experience has changed my views on a 3rd! We always wanted 3 but after being told at 17 weeks I would lose the baby and then spending the last 20 weeks on some form of bed rest I just can't wrap my head around doing this again. There is a risk I could have the same issue again but no guarantee. I'm also 33 and not getting younger! We decided to wait a year and then decide. Curious what others are feeling too.
Had an AFI last week and my fluid dropped even lower than the previous week. OB advised if the level continues to drop below 5 they will start inducing. Our next check is tomorrow, growth US and AFI crossing my fingers all the hydration will pay off and delay delivery for a few more weeks.
DH and I had planned to have at least 2 maybe 3. Know that i've experienced a high risk pregnancy involving bed rest and what a mental challenge we may reconsider depending on how a NICU stay goes. I've heard mixed reports if PE will show up in a future pregnancy. Guess we will cross that bridge in a couple years.
I had an ultra sound yesterday and Cecily went from 4 pounds 10 ounces 2 weeks ago to 5 pounds 13 ounces. They are really happy with her growth. I had an OB appointment this morning and they are taking me off full bed rest and putting me on light bed rest since I'm 35 weeks today and if she comes now she will be fine. The Dr. just said no intercourse till 36 weeks. She checked my cervix and some other things and she thinks I will likely go into labor on my own in the next week or two. I am totally ok with that.
This does not in any way deter me from trying to have more. I know that if I don't get the fibroid removed that it will most likely be a similar pregnancy to this one and I am ok with that as long as the baby is healthy. This is my first and I cant imagine only having one.
