I'm a FTM but when I think about delivery day, I keep thinking of music playing. I listen to music all the time (even during the school day at work there is always low music on) and it calms me when I'm nervous so I'm hoping I can have some kind of music on even if it's headphones in one ear up until delivery. I'm a huge Pink fan and would mix other stuff in there as well. Basically, my question is, what do you think might help calm you (or did help calm you) during labor? If it's music, what's on your list?

Under Pressure ~ Queen

Also, if you thumbs up on your Pandora often, add the Thumbprint station. It's a station that only plays songs you've thumbs upped. Maybe not good for when you're wanting a controlled feel of music, but great for just general long term listening bc you'll always love the music.
We brought our mini Bose speaker and I had the music on quietly in the background. During the pushing phase, the doctor delivering DS said, "This is the best labor playlist I've ever listened to!" lol
I also had headphones at times, because I had Hypnobirthing relaxation recordings to listen to.
Last I heard, the lead singer was in rehab. Such a shame, because they're so great. And put on such an amazing live show.
I am delivering at a different hospital and my husband took notice of the outputs the to had and the nurse who showed us around said that a lot of people will bring like ps3's so they can watch movies or shows. I am going to check if I can bring my chromecast and see if I can get some netflix going!

Unless somebody will volunteer to pay Enya to come sing to me...
I remember Ho Hey by the Lumineers and Oh How He loves Us David Crowder playing. 3 1/2 years later I cannot hear either without getting teary-eyed. Still love both of those songs. I honestly did not even think to have music playing in the actual room once I started pushing.

With DD1 I brought our laptop and all three of the Lord of the Rings movies (extended editions of course). We didn't even get the lappy out of the bag, lol. I ended up liking the quiet so I could focus on myself.
but for my c section I feel like I need something more calming!
