@mrswifeytoad I'm in Louisiana too, I'm going to FINO in Baton Rouge.
That's where I go!  Was actually just there this morning for a pre-op appointment.
  • @madasm0530 Im originally from the twin cities and most of my family is still around there so I go back fairly often (been living in the DC area for the past 8 years). I'm trying to convince DH to move back one day
  • 32 and representing Oregon and the pacific north west :)
  • @MMD1986 That's funny, I was there this morning too! There were so many people this morning!
  • @stars2016. Good luck! I had my retrieval! I had dr vandeerlin do mine. It was the first time I met him and he was awesome!

But @sunnshine Its hard for me to keep the Drs straight from appt to appt. I forget who saw me last!

  • @bells52000 isn't that the truth!! The only way I know is when I log onto the portal to see my appointment history. Lol. Like oh ok, I saw him for that.  Haha. :-) the portal is great! I just wish the nurse would actually update it with the lab results.
  • I'm 36 and live in Tulsa, Ok. and go to Tulsa Fertility Center. This is a great idea it makes people more real.
  • @sunnshine I actually asked them why they have the portal but don't add anything to it! Lol. Like I would have loved to see my blood test figures on there the next day as I always feel like a nudge when I ask them specifics in the office. They said its against ferpa...but who knows!?

i did ask them for a print out of my appointment summary and that is really cool! Gave me all the follicle counts and sizes at each appointment. I never really knew while going through it because some would say them out loud and others wouldn't.
    Me: 41  DH: 44  DD: 9

  • @JamieH2000 too funny that we are that close!!  Thanks for the info on the get together. We will be in Chi for the weekend for my nieces birthday and a baptism. Have fun!!
  • @bells52000 seems weird to have it if you can't post to it lol. I never thought to ask for a summary print out! It was very hard to keep track of what they were saying during the scans!
  • I'm 30 and from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I go to Shady Grove Fertility. I actually grew up in Massachusetts!  Go Red Sox!!!
  • @msymmers922 we are Red Sox fans too!! Dogs dad grew up in Mass.
  • I'm 34 in Ohio and I go to the Cleveland Clinic
  • @sunnshine I asked for a copy of my bloodwork on the day of the trigger and a copy of the embryo sizes and count.  The girl at the desk (this was in Marlton) said she didn't have access to the embryo screen and would have to have a nurse get the info.  She would call me later.  I pushed back a little and said I would wait..and literally 1 minute later she handed me the paper.

I found the people in the smaller office look after "their patients".  When I went to Marlton, they seemed less likely to go out of their way.  But all in all so far, I really have no complaints.

  • @Sunnshine and @Msymmers922 - go red sox! DH is from Long Island, but luckily he "hates" baseball, so i don't have to worry about him being a Yankees fan! although, whenever we go to fenway, he does have one yankees jersey that he "just HAS to wear, to piss everyone off." ...boys... SMH
  • @katymarie101 I'm 26 my husband and I live in Arkansas but we go to Tulsa Fertility Center. Love the people there they are very understanding!
  • @caseyw8784 my Husband is also from New York. We are not big baseball fans but watch out for football season. He's a huge Giants fan and I'm a hardcore Patriots fan.
  • @Msymmers922 - same here! DH is all about the Giants (thank god not the Jets, right?

he's also a hardcore Rangers fan, so we have quite a few "arguments" during hockey season too...
  • I'm 32 and outside of Orlando, I go to Brown Fertility.

@gatorlorit how do you like CRM?
  • @lulumurph I do  like them! . We were working with Advanced Reproductive Specialists, but we went to CRM for our second opinion and felt better about the course of action.    Dr. Jaffe is no nonsense, but I feel good about it.   Fingers crossed that  my transfer last week worked!

  • @katymarie101 We have been going there for over a year. I'm going to miss them all when we are done there. We are in the Fayetteville Area of Arkansas.
  • @Isthisthereallife RealLife @JamieH2000 I'm also in the Chicago suburbs.  I'm from the rocky mountain region but getting used to the midwest
  • I am excited this thread is helping people make connections! I am not sure why it makes me feel so much better realizing there are other people driving up the same road as me to go through this! But it does! Thanks for sharing!

  • ADRIANAC1982 - Good luck tomorrow!!! Sounds like most Chicago area ladies go to FCI. I debated having a consultation there (I had two other, so I didn't want a third), but thought I would maybe prefer the smaller office atmosphere of advanced fertility center of Chicago in Gurnee. If I end up having to change REs again, I will definitely look at FCI. Do you listen to the Beat Infertility podcasts at all? The RE that calls in (Dr Rodgers) works for FCI, and they sound like a really good practice!

  • OOPSIE @ForsythiaReed THIS WAS FOR YOU: Which FCI, Im at FCI river north with Dr. Sipe, but Dr. Rapisarda will do my ER tomorrow morning

@JAMIEH2000 SORRY you have had to change so many times that must be frustrating.  I feel like half of Chicago is at FCI, but I cannot complain about my own personal experience. I met a lady last week who drives an hour to get to FCI! There are TONS of people there when I go around 730-745, but I feel like they get you in and out! I also love that everyone knows you, it may be because they see us often but they remember you. There was a lady there this morning with maybe a 1 and a 1/2 yr old, and people still remembered her. I love that

I picked Dr. Sipe after reading reviews, im such a review person! + im weird and have to be comfortable with how the dr looks or it weirds me out, especially because Im not comfortable with Male doctors! But Dr. Sipe has been awesome and he can go toe-to-toe with mu hubby which is a bonus! Dr. Kaplan is also there hes supposed to be one of the best, he helped Juliana and Bill when they where trying, I hear he has a very no nonsense approach.
