This is me! I go here again, finally! This week is pretty exciting: today I've got appointments with the on-base OB and my midwife. Hopefully at the OB they'll schedule my A/S, because it's about time. And then on Friday I'm going on an ultrasound date with a friend who's about a month further than me, to one of those elective places. Gonna find out what's going on between my baby's legs! So excited!

Wednesday we find out the sex omg!!!! Thursday we have an OBGYN appointment yaaasssss. Gonna pee mai pants from excitement....literally and figuratively.
Tuesday morning is my AS! Really excited to see baby again and confirm she's a girl so I can feel more confident buying her clothes and planning her room
I've got a regular OB appointment tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it though because I actually have some questions this time, especially about my anatomy scan.
Anatomy scan on Friday! Can't wait! It's been too long since we've been able to see her. And @mimi603107, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one holding off on buying things till after the "official" scan. I know the MaterniT21 results have a 99.4% chance of being accurate since they're measuring genetic material, but I just want the extra reassurance before I start buying a bunch of baby stuff!
I had a midwife appointment today. Everything was great. Baby boy's heart rate was normal and she even said I had a cute belly. Teehee. It's the little things!
Had A/S and a OBGYN appt this morning - everything looked good, soooo relieved! I could watch him in there all day on the U/S screen; he was using his tiny little hands to (what looked like) rubs his eyes at one point, I thought I'd die of the cuteness right there.
@squiddy224 I've bought some things but I've kept all the receipts just in case lol. I know that the harmony test is supposed to be more accurate than an ultrasound but I will feel more comfortable once I'm able to see for myself...I keep having crazy thoughts that the NIPT was wrong or they mixed up my test lol (which is really unlikely but I can't help being paranoid)
Had a regular OB appointment today. I got my prescription for my breast pump and began calling companies so that I can order that and get it off of my huge to do list! I was also told that the OB should be following up in a couple of weeks to schedule my c section date!

About to go take my first glucose test (which I was apparently supposed to have 6 weeks ago but my regular dr was out and backup didn't know to send me). Then I get to do it again in another 6 weeks! I really hope to avoid the GD.
@Toller02 Many ladies have to take it 2 times. Once at the beginning, if they have previously had GD or they have lots of risk factors, then again at beginning of 3rd tri, as 3rd tri is when issues typically start popping up.

@karabear11 is that just the standard at your OB practice? (Sorry for being nosey!) I'm just curious about these sorts of things (it fascinates me how different things can be!). It's not exactly the worst idea ever because the test doesnt catch all cases of GD so doing it twice might be helpful....
@Toller02 - I am 38 and overweight so my doctor has me in a high risk category. I think she kind of just expects me to get it which is part of why I really really don't want to get it. Lind of to prove that just because I am old and pudgy doesn't mean I'm unhealthy! Lol. Plus, you know, not wanting to have diabetes, gestational or otherwise.

I am high risk because of other things, but I have pre- insulin resistance. So I was just referred to endocrinologist and dietitians. I don't even have the chance to prove I don't have it with the regular test. I am on finger pricks 4 times a day.

Just had my OB appointment. All my concerns were cleared, and I measured right on track. I'll have my GD test 2 appointments away..so either 27 or 29 weeks, I forget when she said I start coming twice a month.
DH asked me to record the hb for him, and I felt silly doing so, but now I'm home and can't stop listening either.
This day could not go any slower. At the grocery store the cashier was asking me about my symptoms, and she said she thinks it's a girl. Everyone except one person has thought it's a girl. Watch, it will be a boy lol.
I'm going crazy thinking about it. I.MUST.KNOW.THIS.INSTANT.
So I didn't have any baby appointments this week, but when they did an ultrasound to look at my stones at the urologist, she swung the wand up so I could see the parasite. Please excuse my AW here. I can already see her profile is different from DD's. And I LOVE the little lips! A super wonderful surprise in a rough day. Oh and all their shots of my bladder had a baby skull in them haha. She still has time to shift, but it looks like she's already head down.
That's 20wk anatomy scan was the best 30min of my life to date- sorry hubby... Our wedding was amazing too. She had her ankles crossed and hands under her chin, ready for her picture. So perfect. So much love. Measuring a week ahead with a beautiful heart, spine and brain. All 10 fingers and toes accounted for
Well, ladies, I am going to need your help with ideas. I am officially on bedrest until little Miss Emma decides to show herself. I do get to go play Pinochle 2-3 days a week, and take care of L while at home, but I am NOT to even grade papers until after E is here. Plus now I have to figure out if I will have a job after she shows up, as FMLA will run out at about 35 w if I start it next week.

Had my OB appointment today and everything is going well. Interestingly, my BP has dropped! When I'd go in, it would be like 137/85 or something (although lower at home), but today it was 122/80! Last night it was 124/80 at home.
When I look at my readings, they were higher before I had to stop dealing with my MIL...and then promptly dropped after we cut contact. Cool! Doctor said they'll still monitor it, but it's healthy and there's no need for BP medication at the moment. Still on Baby aspirin regimen.
Asked some questions about pain management that does not include epidurals, and got some good answers. No nitrous, but I feel good about the options available--IV or pills, and they won't make me numb if I go that route. Overall, great appointment!
