I've been wearing a lot of dresses and yoga pants type capris. It's been so hot even if something fits in the morning it doesn't by 3pm. I get soooo bloated.
I worry that I don't even look pregnant but rather that I look fat. I went to a wedding last night and kept rubbing my belly to let strangers know that I'm not fat. I can't be the only one who does this.
Me three on the belly rubbing. I was telling Hubby this morning that I kind of want a fake belly until I actually start showing because right now I'm just self-conscious.
I had to unearth my maternity jeans to wear tonight. I'm going out with friends to dinner and a movie and after 4 I can only handle yoga pants because of the bloat.

I broke out maternity pants at about 7 weeks because the bloat was unreal. I haven't turned back. I haven't gained a pound but can't fit in any of my old clothes.
I told my mom my jeans weren't fitting right which is weird cause I don't have a bump yet and she said it looks like my hips spread. Isn't it too early for that????
@MrsDramaK with my first I went up almost 2 pant sizes with my hips just spreading out in the first trimester. Literally that test turned positive and nothing fit. This second time around that hasn't happened but my belly bloated rounded me out fast!
I'm mostly wearing leggings/ yoga pants and I have 2 pairs of maternity pants for work. Just purchased a new pair of bigger leggings and I'll need 1 pair of maternity jeans this fall.
I really want to switch to dresses too, but I don't wear dresses to work currently and think it will draw attention. Anyone know how I can make the transition without someone asking what's up?
@FishyMom I never hardly wore dresses ever, until a couple years ago. I just wanted to. When I started, people would say "ooooo, you look nice, why are you dressed up?" Even though I didn't really feel I was "dressed" up, I would just say that I wanted to try something new, and thought the dress was cute... I'm a stay at home mom though so it was just family and friends, but do you think saying something like that to coworkers would help? Or telling them you have plans immediately after work maybe?

Maybe! I tried to drop some hints like.. "it's getting really hot out.. maybe I need to look into dresses". I should also say I seriously wonder if they would even notice cause I work with all middle aged men. So who knows.
@FishyMom lol with men it's hard to know if they would notice. I feel like men don't pay attention to clothing, unless they are checking a woman out haha. I bet since you already hinted about wearing some dresses in the heat, it won't set any curiosity alarms off. Unless you work in construction, that might raise some eyebrows.
@kswinger06 very true... who knows how they will react. I may have to do some shopping this weekend and see what I can find. I will have to tell them eventually... but I think I need at least 2 more weeks.
@FishyMom when I was pregnant and working with DD I found some amazing stretchy black dress pants. I wore them with light flowy tops because the Texas heat was killing me

@FishyMom You could try dressing down the dresses a little by wearing leggings underneath. If you do that people may not notice.

@MrsDramaK I think that is a good idea too! Plus the leggings might help the thigh rubbing.
@Munchie2.0 I agree! I think I may head to the mall tomorrow to see what I can find.
