I love seeing all of the different careers everyone has! Lots of brains in this group
I am the Quality Manager for a Pittsburgh based company that manufactures site furniture, custom architectural product, Hotel Signage, and Apple Retail stores.
I work in IT for a health care system. I'm helping with their transition to a new electronic medical record system. I specialize in process improvement trying to ensure that the new system will meet their needs.
I've been a SAHM for two years. I started staying home when we relocated for my husband's job. I taught music and band for 5 years before that. Once this baby is in school, I will probably go back or find something else to do. Lol.
Operations Manager at a tech start-up. I'm in charge of a team that vets and sets up new accounts. I'm on the fence about whether or not I'm going to go back or do the SAHM thing once the baby comes.
I am an attorney who works in criminal law in southern NJ. My husband is an attorney as well and this is big topic in our house currently. I absolutely love my job, but am debating if there is another career path that would allow me to be home more. Any suggestions are welcome haha.
I used to be a social worker in a psychiatric hospital, mainly working with the drug & alcohol population. I actually just got a new position in the same hospital doing utilization management - basically reviewing the medical necessity to keep a person hospitalized and the services needed for after their stay. I'm really excited to get started!
SAHM/College Student I will be done with my associates in December, taking the spring off and will start working on my bachelors next fall. I'm in school to become a Librarian I'm hoping to start working part time next fall while doing my bachelors.
I am a customer service rep at a small, family owned car dealership. We sell Lincolns, Mazdas and used cars. They are so flexible with my hours and so nice. I've been here 3 years!
I teach 3rd graders from late August to early June, then I enjoy doing what I really love, being a stay at home mom for the brief two months in between (all while prepping for the upcoming year, taking professional development courses, and writing curriculum).
@MK1013 Sub! God knows we are desperate for them! I can't tell you how often I don't have a sub, get horrible ones or we lose our preps for lack of them! You have so much flexibly if you go that route!
I'm a quality assurance analyst for a company that provides software in the steel industry.

Veterinarian at a very large animal shelter - mostly dogs and cats, but we take in everything. I'm having a very hard time trying to figure out how I am going to do my job and be pregnant with twins, especially considering how much of my job entails performing surgery. Then there's all squatting down to examine animals, etc. My head is spinning just thinking about the next 6 months or so...
@CoconutKisses21 - Thank goodness you're on here too! It's so hard for me to find support in the vet community!

I'm a social worker too! ❤️ I work with people with serious mental health issues in a community-based program. Just finished up my doctorate last year so I'm considering faculty jobs as well.
wow a lot of medical professionals, lawyers and teachers!
As of the last three years I'm a finance coordinator in a hospital after spending 13 years doing finance and investor relations in the real estate industry.
I'm a Librarian working in youth health/mental health. Basically I help the health professionals find all the information they need to do their job and look after their patients. Plus lots of general IT support, formatting documents, 'do you know where XXX is ...?' ... its a bitser job!
I love reading about everyone's careers. We've got a great group of smart ladies here.
I'm the marketing and sales manager for a small wine company. We're a startup, so it's a little crazy at times, but I love it. And after 3 years of commuting, we closed our office last year and now we all work remotely, which has been a huge blessing. It should make it easy to arrange in-home childcare once baby arrives.
I'm a Project Manager in the UK.Currently I am working on building Multi Modal Diagnostic Imaging Centres for Hospitals (MRI & PET CT Scanning facilities). Also working on a grid connected energy storage facility that will store energy on site in large battery stores, in order to feed it back to the national grid in times of energy crisis. Pretty interesting stuff but there are'nt many women in my industry.

General Manager/Director of Operations for an Artist Management company and independent record label. Recently made the switch from clients in Pop/Rock to Rap... Head spins daily!!
I'm a special education teacher and currently work with middle school students with mild/moderate disabilities. I've literally just completed coursework for an endorsement that'll enable me to work with students with significant cognitive disabilities, grades K-12. The cert opens up an even wider variety of the types of teaching positions I am qualified for, so to say I'm excited is an understatement.
I'm so impressed with this group! I manage an outreach program for a federal agency. And I'm trying to figure out how all of you are functioning at work! I feel so scattered brained and foggy.
After 9 yrs in the military as a cyber security analyst I got out and joined a contract company and rebuilt then went on to teach the cyber analyst certification course. I did that 4 four years until my son was born last Sept. I really was tired if the job and tired of teaching adults. So now I'm doing it part time going to school full time for my dual masters in CyberSecurity and Project Management so I can go back and take a Project Management position back with my company.
I'm a high school English teacher... in a school that values STEM over Humanities, so I spend a lot of energy convincing students that English Literature degrees are NOT useless... sigh
