As the 6 month mark approaches *holy crap* I've been thinking of revamping my LO toy collection. Currently he has "baby toys" soft, squishy, rattles and hangy things lol. I've bought him a stacking toy that he loves to chew on. What other toys are good for this age? What toys do your baby like?
I bought my son baby drums that light up and plays music that he loves, a battery walking barking dog cause he loves the dogs so much which he loves, rubber blocks and a high chair and his favorite thing right now is the diaper and high chair box lol oh and an empty plastic folders can with a plastic lid that he hides toys in that he thinks is pretty cool and gives him the biggest giggles.
DD still loves some of her baby toys, especially ones with different textures and things to suck on. But we've also got her some sensory blocks, a tiger toy that crawls when you press his back and Beatbo. She is fascinated by Beatbo and ends up sort of bouncing along with him, it's hilarious!
We have a Winkel ball that my DD loves playing with. She also likes the toy keys, and she LOVES just about everything she's not supposed to have (like plastic/packaging). Here are links:
We got some wooden alphabet blocks from the dollar spot at target. Best three dollars I've ever spend. LO likes them because they're small enough for her to actually grab and hold onto!
We have one of these and while it may be a little advanced, we hold LO up at it (standing) or remove the legs of the table and he will sit at it (assisted) and push the buttons and he loves it. It's money well spent (although ours was a hand me down) as our almost 3 year old still plays with it dancing to the music.

I think you would need to be little careful as those wooden blocks might have sharp edges. I bought them too but already returned because of the same reason. However, chances is your wooden blocks were of good quality. May I know which brand you bought?
DD loves musical toys such as drums, piano or guitar. loves cell phones and remote toys. I also have anew activity table and sit to stand walker which she loves. activity cubes are good with things on each side and she has one of those dogs that sings and talks they have them for both boys and girls.

@Sarahbara60 where did you get the Beatbo? He would love that and it would completely scare the dog lol
@VitaLuna I second the plastic bags idk I feel as though he knows he's not supposed to have it so he's even more attracted to it.
And he gets a kick out of playing with regular items, like his brush, his comb, plastic cups, tupperware, water bottles, his spoon, etc.
I recently got out his wooden blocks and he's interested but not able to really play with them yet.
