Have you done anything this week to prepare for the baby? DH put together the crib! His mind was blown that it didn't come with a mattress. Haha.
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms: I got a snoogle. I don't know how I feel about it yet. I am a toss and turner, so it's weird to have to switch positions. I am usually not a back sleeper, but lately, that's all I want to do.
When's your next appointment? August 15th! We find out if Kitten is a girl or a boy!

16 weeks! Little boo is the size of an avocado or a Batman action figure (I prefer the second analogy).

Nope! Just relaxing and trying to get through a crazy time at work.

I've been having really noticeable tailbone/hip pain on my back left side. It hurts to lift up my left leg to shave! Guess I'll be rocking a hairy leg for the rest of the summer...

August 23rd for the sex-revealing ultrasound! Except I will have to wait to find out until a reveal party that will probably be in September *shakes fist at well-intentioned friends*

Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms: Okay sorry if this is TMI but constipation is an issue this week. I thought I had it under control by having an activia yogurt a day but nothing is working. I'm currently in Italy and eating up a storm and there is NO ROOM. Anyone have any good tips? (Besides stop eating up a storm? I'm not going to sacrifice the delicious food that surrounds me!).
When's your next appointment? - I had a midwife appt this week where I heard the heart beat. I didn't know they'd listen so that was a nice surprise! Next appt not till my 20 week scan on the 26th of August. So excited to find out the sex!!

-Take Colase up to two times per day (once in morning, once in evening)
-On a really constipated day, take Miralax (which I think is a liquid you pour into water or something).
She said the Miralax for sure would clear you right up, and the Colase was good for maintaining regular BMs during pregnancy. Hope that helps!
ETA: because it's not Metamucil, it's Colase. Silly me not being able to read my own handwriting!

Have you done anything this week to prepare for the baby? We got our 2 bedroom rental house! Yay! Also I got confirmation that I'm allowed to work the 6 to 2 shift, and DH will work the 3 to 11 shift, so no need for daycare until they're a little older. We also have different days off, so it would look like 3/7 days we'd be exhausted, and the other 4 days we'll be tag-teaming a little better because someone will be off work.
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms: The nausea is slowly going away but the gas pain and pelvic pain is on the upswing. Ow.
When's your next appointment? August 23rd for my 18 week appointment. September 2nd is my anatomy scan.

First actual purchase for the baby besides garage sale stuff... I got a diaper bag! LUG brand Hoola Hoop bag in heather grey. It's cute! Told my coworkers this week, and a few other friends. Switched prenatal vitamins too since I ran out, trying the SISU multi expecting.

I'm slightly lactose intolerant, but I've been trying to keep up with the yogurt/milk intake since conceiving. Might have to stop soon as it's irritating my insides... Any tips?
No symptoms really except gas, bloat, tiredness & insatiable thirst!
