Buying baby shoes

Moms who have bought baby shoes, specifically ones with soft soles, do you buy the size your baby measures at or 1 size up so they have room to grow into them?

Re: Buying baby shoes

  • Stride right added a half size when we measured. 3.5 and he wear a 4
  • I've bought two pairs - shoes and sandals - and always size up, mostly so they get more use but also because the smaller size is too tight for his chubby feet!

That being said, he's worn them once - for a photo shoot. Until he's actually walking, they kind of just get in the way and I think he likes to be barefoot!

  • Usually if you're at a shoe store where someone's helping you with the fitting, they'll tell you to go at least a half-size up.
