Why My Pregnant Self is Crying - 7/25

I have my first ultrasound tomorrow and I'm NERVOUS. So nervous that if I think about it for more than a minute at a time I get a little teary. I just want to see that heart beating and know that everything is ok.

Howabout you ladies, what's got you misty-eyed this week?

Re: Why My Pregnant Self is Crying - 7/25

  • My husband and I made our rounds yesterday and told my parents, his mother and my sister. Each time it was a cry-fest. I knew my mother in law was going to cry, and I knew my husband would cry when that happened, but I didn't think my father would shed any tears (he did). I also didn't think my husband would cry when we told my parents (he did!) Everyone is absolutely thrilled, but it was an emotional day. Good reasons to cry though! :)

I cried today because my husband had a job interview two hours away, and it went really well! This could mean we have to move while I'm pregnant, away from family/ friends and my doctor...I want to be happy for him and be supportive, but I'm feeling selfish and want to stay here. If we do though, he will have to give up teaching to be a manager in a factory (which does pay more). That would be shitty too. Trying to balance what emotions are just from pregnancy so that I can help him make the right choice is hard!
  • Had our daughter's second birthday party on Saturday, and cried because people asked me questions about where to set things up  :D

  • I cried the other night because my husband was singing 'Tora Lora Lora' to the dog. In my defense, it's an Irish lullaby my gram sang to us and she passed away in March.
  • I flipped the egg over wrong. Big fat tears. This is fun....

  • I'm pretty sure DS has officially weaned himself cold turkey. He's only been on bottles since Saturday night, and since my supply is already almost gone, we'll have to supplement with formula until his one year appointment at the beginning of September. At least we made almost 11 months!
  • i cried whilst listening to a podcast about teddy roosevelt. yep. it mentioned that his wife and mother died on the same day, and i just started bawling.

Oh my god, it's so sad. I was listening to a podcast about this before I was even KTFU and I still got weepy. Poor Teddy.

Anybody seen the new Star Trek yet? I won't tell spoilers, but I cried during TWO of the trailers before the feature film. And then I cried big fat ugly tears at the end of the movie.

If you get a chance to see it in theaters, feel free to judge me.

I cried when I found out I couldn't make my S/O a sandwich for work because the last of the bread went moldy. S/O was supportive and helped me remember we had plenty of other things he could take to work for lunch, but I was so set on making his lunch today. =(

  • Last night I asked my husband to order me "noodles with veggies" for dinner. He somehow translated that into beef and broccoli and I legit *wept*. This is absurd.
