A sweet potato, a sugar glider, a slingshot, a croissant, a multi-tool, a baby tribble (wtf?!)...I don't think these things are all the same size, Internet.

Nothing...super boring, low key week

Feeling baby move pretty regularly now, which is nice. I've even been able to feel her with my hand on the outside of my stomach. Unfortunately timing hasn't worked for DH to feel her yet, but I'm sure he'll get a chance soon. I'm going to enjoy these cute little baby flutters before The Parasite is violently kicking the crap out of me in a few weeks.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? How do you think they will adjust to baby?
We have two small dogs. They've done pretty well with DD, who is doggie-obsessed. The rat terrier is ~14 years old and is not her biggest fan unless she's eating, but he'll allow her to hug him briefly every now and then. When she was a newborn, he would freak out whenever she got upset, and he would move heaven and earth to make sure he could lick the top of her head and subsequently solve her concerns. The younger miniature pinscher loves the baby and will take every opportunity to smother her face in kisses. I imagine they'll take to DD2 in the same way.

Whats going on this week?
We finally did the sex reveal on Saturday. I'm glad I can refer to baby by name and proper pronoun. Both of our families were positive it was going to be a boy. Wrong! She's all princess playing American Ninja Warrior in my uterus. Not much going on this week. My bff's birthday dinner is Saturday and we're going bowling afterwards.. We shall see how that works.

MIL was in town this past week. It was a great time and she spoiled us more than we deserved. That being said the visit was overwhelming and after she left yesterday I had an anxiety attack and spent the rest of the day recovering from that. I still don't feel completely 100% but I'm much better than yesterday.

We have a Boston Terrier and a Chihuahua, both 6 years old. Kimbo the BT will be a great big brother. He's pretty chill and goes with the flow. Niko the chi I'm not as certain about. He doesn't bite but he does get jealous.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My DH finally felt her move twice this weekend. He was so excited and over the moon. The stretch marks are popping up everywhereeeeeeeeeeeee.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? How do you think they will adjust to baby? We have a 3 year old black lab. He's obsessed with our niece and nephew. My only concern is that he doesn't know his own size. He's 100lbs and thinks he's a lap dog. So We need to watch out for that.

Whats going on this week? Busy week. Tomorrow I have my a/s and then an appointment with my OB following that. We are super excited for it! That evening, we're going to a local musical production of "The Little Mermaid", which I have heard has been great to see. The organization that does the play has been doing them for years, as I grew up attending them... and was even in the orchestra for one of the musicals (42nd Street) in high school. It's all junior high/high school students. Thursday, DH has a haircut in his hometown (45 minutes away), and then we're meeting his parents for supper. Friday, my sister and her fiance are in town to look at some wedding venues, so I am meeting her and my mom after work at one of the bridal salons to look at dresses, and then going out for supper after that. Saturday morning, she has 2 more appointments at other salons before they look at another venue and head back home.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I was hoping I'd get some boobs for this pregnancy, but all my "almost" A cups have done is just filled out some... not enlargement. It's been sad. Maybe they'll come in later, or maybe I was just not destined for big boobs, ha.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? How do you think they will adjust to baby? Sadly, no pets. I had a cat for 6 years (got him when was 2 months old), but when I moved in with DH (when we were dating for almost 3 years), I had to rehome him since DH is too allergic. I was very sad since he was my furbaby (he went to a GREAT home). But, if I still had him, I think he'd be a little jealous once the baby came, but would eventually get used to it. He was always good at sensing things, especially when I was sick - he'd lay in bed with me ALL day. So, he'd probably know something was going on inside me.

GTKY: Do you have any pets? How do you think they will adjust to baby? We have a German Shepherd who is still a pup (will be 2 in September) and a Maltipoo who is about 8. I think the small dog will be fine, although newborn sounds will freak him out. Our GSD will adjust, although we'll have to watch her carefully because she's huge and gets excited. She's a big lovebug, though, so I'm not too worried about aggressiveness.

Whats going on this week?
Still job hunting. I decided to take real estate classes to get licensed in my state, so that's been a big part of my daily life for the past few weeks. It is helping me feel more in control of my future, so that is reassuring. We are also starting to finish our registry items now that we know we're having a girl. Next step, start thinking about names - no pressure! She's only stuck with it for life!

We went to BuyBuy Baby this weekend and husband hated every minute of it, I think. He said it was worse than expected. So that was great... I told him he doesn't need to come with me in the future and he seemed relieved. Hopefully he knows that this means he can't complain about anything I decide to do with regard to nursery or baby gear. At least we had a nice lunch while we were out.
Also, we are going to Chicago for my birthday this weekend! I am very excited about that. I've never been there and I'm looking forward to lots of touristy things and a break from the ungodly heat here in the DC area. If anyone has any recs, please send my way!

We have a 2-ish year old cat named Penny. I'm not sure how she'll adjust. She is very laid back for the most part and very rarely wants any attention, so I think she'll be fine. I feel like she'll probably be very curious about the new creature in the house at first, but will get used to her being around pretty quickly. At least I hope so.
How big is baby? Of all of the different options, I'm most fascinated by the baseball hat. Whoa!
Whats going on this week? I had a check-up this morning. Little Dude's heartbeat was strong and I seem to be doing well, also.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm ranty about a new task I randomly have to complete at work today. Not what I anticipated, but whatever. I am raving of course about a good appointment. No questions today! Well, except, "where's the food?"
GTKY: Do you have any pets? How do you think they will adjust to baby? We have an 8 year old husky/lab mix who is and always has been spoiled rotten and very attached to me. He will have a HUGE adjustment period but because he is generally good around kids and very gentle/laid back in nature, I think we will be okay. We'll tread carefully at first.
20wks! Officially more than halfway as I'll have a RCS by or before 39wks. Crazy!

Whats going on this week?
Nothing baby related. We should have our anatomy scan this week but Dr is on vaca so it will be next week instead.
However, DH is completing the last of his clinic hours for his final graduate class for his NP tomorrow! All he has left is the post predictor exam and then he is finished!! I'm so excited and happy for him and for us to finally see a very bright light at the end of this tunnel. He will be an NP before this baby gets here!!! :-D

Yes we do. We have 3 min pins and a border collie. I think they'll all be alright. They like to go in the room that will be the baby's room a lot. I think it's because I have never allowed them in there before so it's uncharted territory.

Whats going on this week? I'm taking DS to Chuck E Cheese on Thursday for a birthday party, he has been asking to go but I really don't want to go into that place, but I enjoy the family we will go with so hopefully it's not too bad. Also DH, the kids and I are going to my parents house on Friday then going to a theme park on Saturday, then back home on Sunday.
Rants/Raves/Questions? The heat is killing me!!! I hate it. I am still having lots of headaches, so.I am going to ask my Dr. about that at my next appointment.

We had our anatomy scan this morning.. aaaand it's a boy!! We both had a gut feeling, but man does it feel amazing just to know. Little Max is growing perfectly and measuring right on track

We do not have any pets and probably won't ever have any. I have a strong allergy toward pet dandruff, so that eliminates an indoor animal for me (that sheds anyway) We're both happy with the idea of no pets unless we move into the country someday. I grew up riding horses on a farm with tons of animals, so I adore them, but am completely okay with not having anything in town.

Whats going on this week?: Vacation in DH'S hometown. I don't have to see my MIL, and it's glorious. We're staying with my FIL and Step-MIL and they are just fabulously kind and chill people.
Rants/Raves/Questions?: My belly popped today!! Went to bed last night with some bloat, and woke up with a legit pregnant belly. I keep rubbing it...I'm like Buddha.

We have a 3 year old Golden Yorkie and he is just a lovie. He ADORES children and is so good with them, so I think he will be excited to have a new family member!

I think he will be a little jealous at first as right now he is my baby and a real lap dog. He is always on top of me and it will be a big adjustment for him that he is not the baby anymore. But once he gets past that I am sure he will love the baby and be her best buddy!

Yesterday was eventful, my dog got stung by a bee on her mouth, so her whole face swelled up! Poor thing was miserable. Other than that, I have two doctor's appointments this week, hopefully one is the anatomy scan!

I have two chihuahuas and a cat. One chihuahua will want to snuggle the baby. The other might be a little rough and will want to play and get jealous, so she will probably have the hardest time. The cat could probably care less, but he probably won't like that the baby's room will be in the one he currently sleeps in haha.
