17 weeks! They're the size of pomegranates or chipmunks and I think they're officially peeing in me which is SUPER weird

I think I'm mostly done with one store's registry which is rad!

Somehow I fit a few. I was a cheerleader but I marched with the band in my cheerleading uniform. I hung out with the burners and also the photography/art kids, I didn't have a ton of friends but they were all spread out
Have you done anything this week to prepare for baby? Moving forward with some house renovation projects which I'm SO excited about. Toured a daycare we love, but there is already a wait list for it... Blah.
Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: Annoyed I still don't have a cute baby bump and it stresses me out when people tell me stories about how so and so had a big baby bump at this point. I love that I can still sleep on my stomach and wear my regular clothes, but all the comments worry me the baby isn't growing even though my OBGYN said it was totally normal and to see myself as lucky.
When's your next appointment? not for another month cause of some vacations. I have no idea how I can hold out that much longer without knowing the sex, so I'll probably surprise H with an elective ultasound.
GTKY: did you fit any clichés in high school? jock and popular "mean girl", which is funny because I'm now pretty crunchy granola and prefer spending my time in nature with a few close friends rather than doing "cool" things.
17 weeks! @TinaBelcher :: I remember reading this somewhere. Pretty sure it's this week. Also, one of the charts I read says that our bodily fluids are in "full force" this week. Cheers to ALL of the fluids!

I finished our Amazon registry this week. Kinda. Otherwise, baby and I are just chatting up a storm and listening to a lot of Sam Cooke.
When's your next appointment?
U/S on August 19 and 20 (well, 21) week appt on August 22. I'm going to be out of state for work for the first two weeks of August so I had to push things back a few days.

I was part of a pretty normal group. Although, I never felt like I fit in at HS. In my junior year, I started taking classes full time at the local community college (program to simultaneously earn college and HS credit while taking college classes. And it shaves 1-2 years off of University.) I was able to get most of my really close friends to join me. So... impatient bookworm loner ready to leave?

13 weeks today and baby is starting to push all those intestines up- I keep reminding H that it's just poop and fat up there still.

Scheduled meetings with a doula and midwife for the next two weeks and trekked across the city to a big box baby store where H spent WAY too much time playing with the bugaboo strollers.

I'm on the verge of a sinus infection and I called my doctor to see what I could take OTC to try and head it off (like even an antihistamine), and the answer was "there's really nothing you can take while you're pregnant" and I just wanted to scream. I can appreciate the more non-pharmaceutical approach doctors in Germany take in general (except for homeopathy, that one gets a major eye roll from me), but tea really isn't going to help when my sinuses get impacted.

I was most definitely a band nerd, but my HS was unique in that the band nerds were actually fairly respected. We had an excellent music program and a fairly shitty football team, so people generally came to games to watch us at halftime.

Have you done anything this week to prepare for baby? Not really this week. It has flown by! We did announce that it's a girl to everyone though.
Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: 1. It's freakin hot and I'm over it!!! 2. I hate my belly... I always had a flat stomach to my belly button and then a lower pooch. Now my stomach is poking out so I have this weird fold at my belly button that hasn't popped yet. Apparently I have a b belly and I hate it! Hoping it will pop soon!!!

GTKY: did you fit any clichés in high school? (Jock, bookworm, band nerd etc?) I went to a smaller private school (like 80 kids in my class) so everyone just kinda hung out with everyone. I was a cheerleader and played volleyball but I was also in choir and theater.

Anatomy scan scheduled for August 22 but my mom is coming to visit next weekend so we are going to sneak in after hours for a quick peek for her.

Not really....the week went by very quickly, and I was recovering from a crazy work week last week...

Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: I'm a stomach sleeper and I just don't think I'll be able to get a good nights sleep in a few weeks. It's hard enough already, but not being able to lay down on my stomach is going to make falling asleep is really going to suck. I have a big pillow (not the pregnancy one yet) but half of the time I wake up in the middle of the night my husband is spooning it and I can't use it.
When's your next appointment? I have a prescription for an ultrasound this week (my doctor said there was bleeding so my insurance would pay for it) but I haven't scheduled it yet. Next scheduled appointment is August 19th for the monthly visit and August 22nd for our Anatomy scan.
GTKY: did you fit any clichés in high school? (Jock, bookworm, band nerd etc?) Not really. My best friend moved when we were freshman to the next town over and my social life followed her. I had 'friends' in classes and lunch but I almost never saw them outside of school.
