Kinesio Tape vs Belly Band for workouts

Hi All,

Has anyone ever tried K-Tape for working out, or a belly band?  Thoughts? Preferences?

I'm pregnant with my second and didn't work out with my first, so this is uncharted territory for me.

I workout at OrangeTheory, which is a combo of cardio, rowing, free weights, and TRX, so mildly intense.  Just looking for recommendations!

  • Belly bands are better.  I used KB tape (https://kingbrand.com/KB-Support-Tape.php?REF=34PV173 ) just because medical grade I I have skin sensitivities.  Just found it wasnt as supportive as a band.  It was great for my carpal tunnel though.  Another fun pregnancy side effect.

  • I do OTF, as well. I was wondering about the bands when I get bigger. Does anyone use a particular brand that they recommend?

  • I think you can actually get a "sports bra" for your belly. Mumberry makes (sort of expensive) workout tops with a belly support piece that is supposed to be really nice. From what I've read, KT tape is really supposed to be applied by a chiropractor or physical therapist and only lasts a few days, so it doesn't seem very practical as a workout support option.
