Throughout the pregnancy I am slowly and subtly explaining my optimal birth plan to my husband while risking the chance of being called granola over and over again. Recently I brought up who I would like in the labour and delivery room. We also discussed how soon after people could visit the baby and agreed to minimum 6hrs after the birth. The day of at home. Then at the bris or naming.

I keep getting sharp pains in my side. Yesterday I was driving us back home from Santa Barbara where we spent a beautiful scheduled day off together and all of the sudden I felt like the baby was armed with push pins. "I'm not a cork board!!" I yelled at my belly. H just looked like me with a side eye and an I'm not gonna ask look on his face.
I also want to add that I am feeling really amazing!! I have been getting 45-1.5hr morning and evening walk up and down our neighbourhood hills and a strength training workout everyday. My husband doesn't let me skip these anymore since he sees that I feel better. He's my best motivation.
When's your next appointment?
6 days!! I went in for a visit in between visits to discus say pressure and poke pains. The doctor said it was probably the baby. I have a pretty small frame for 5"10 and she said that I could be Uber sensitive. I still don't believe her but it's fun either way thinking that it's the baby.
GTKY: How are you spending your weekend?
We are hosting a BBQ to meet my husband's daughters new boyfriend. They are both actors so I'm really looking forward to seeing how they feed off one another since they are in the same profession. Bc I know she really likes him I'm really excited to meet him and know that this excited will make me over prepare/cook food that I'll just end up freezing later.

Looked at Hobby Lobby to find cute decorations for the nursery. Still too early to know if it's a boy or girl, so I was only looking to get ideas. I did put my name on two waiting lists for daycares I went and toured! It might seem early, but my first pick already had 25 people on the waiting list!

Elective gender reveal ultrasound on Aug. 6th. Ob anatomy scan is Aug. 23rd.

Had lunch with the family at Olive Garden (yum), bought new makeup at Ulta (yay!), about to spend time with my SIL and niece (fun), and a kid's birthday party tomorrow (I'd rather be napping)

Fatigue, headaches. Feeling big and annoying phase between regular clothes and maternity.

13 weeks. The bump tells me baby is now the size of a lemon.

Not really. We unfortunately heard back today on an offer we put in on a house and we did not get it. We were so sure we were going to so it was disappointing. Once we do finally find a house, all the prepping will kick in.

T - 7 Days until 2nd Tri. I can't wait! I am slowly starting to feel some energy come back now but I'm excited to make it past that milestone and stop feeling so sluggish. I'm sure my 2.5 year old will feel the same

A coworker randomly brought in a stroller and carrier with 2 bases for the car. Not sure we'll use it in a car since unknown history, but the stroller could be awesome. He only found out I was pregnant yesterday, so it really was random.
Plus it's pink and I'm team green... but fabric paint is ok, right?

Yesterday I woke up with a sore throat. By the end of the day I had chills, body aches, a burning throat, headache, felt weak, tired, an upset stomach due to feeling the drainage down the back of my throat. I've never gotten sick that fast! I ate almost nothing which in telling myself is fine since it's often or usual. Feel better this morning - though I'm now stuffed up with drainage, still achy, and have a headache...
Worst part is I'm not sure what I can take. Some day sudafed is ok without decongestant, some say no. Same with standard mucinex. I'm very confused and unhappy right now. I'm going to go take a warm bath and hope that helps.

August 2nd - I did decide I'm telling work after this appointment. I was originally going to wait another 2 weeks but I'm getting tired and moving slower. My job won't change too too much, but it takes options away from them for what my job could be. They had me work in a different area the other day, which isn't likely but fully part of my job, and I won't be doing that again. That decided me.
GTKY: How are you spending your weekend?
Sick and unhappy. I was supposed to be working on our bathroom and getting it done... sigh. Sorry about the whiny, but dang it.
@mrshuse525 sorry your offer didn't go thru! I hope you find something soon!
@Mylitta I'm super stuffed with drainage right now but don't want to take anything because of conflicting views like you said. The only other thing that helps me is having a colonist humidifier. I notice a HUGE difference if I use one specially when I sleep at night. We have a Vicks one (it does have a filter because I'm skeptical about the ones that are filter free) and I steal it from my boys room if I sick and they are doing ok.

Have you done anything this week to prepare for baby? updated my baby book and had my 12 week appointment .
Rants / raves / questions / symptoms: still feeling great! Bump is smaller than I remember it being last time, which may be because I've actually lost a pound in the last month, whereas last time I was gaining at least 2-3 lbs between appointments. It's crazy what a difference chasing after a toddler makes! However, my belly button has popped, even if the rest of my belly hasn't. That didn't happen until much later last time. 2nd baby thing I guess!

GTKY: How are you spending your weekend? had a fantastic visit with BIL and his wife yesterday (only members of DH's immediate family with whom I really get along), and then today we went to mass in the morning and the Pirates game in the afternoon. We had a wonderful time despite the heat in the beginning and the torrential downpour after the 8th inning; I'd gotten DH box seats only 5 rows back from the field for Father's day so that was a real treat for all of us! Oh, and he let me sleep in and made me breakfast in bed Saturday after we'd both been up with DD until 3AM the hight before. This heat wave has been awful; poor thing couldn't sleep! We finally installed the AC in her room, which we'd been putting off because our landlords won't let us screw the unit into the windows and we're not confident that it's really secure without that precaution, but after Friday night we decided that the relief it would bring DD was worth the potential risk. She's been sleeping much better since! All in all, a great weekend!
