@fivetimesnoluck   Thanks!! I'm feeling pretty good! My beta is in an hour! I woke up with a headache, story of my life the past two weeks. I decided to wait it out and not POAS (the past couple of days there were so many times I wanted to) Good luck with your iui!!!

  • @lady_grey  This is my first medicated cycle & first IUI, so Im not sure what the standard is for me, but I tested a week after trigger & it came back negative. I was pretty surprised it was out of my system that fast.

@Isthisthereallife good luck at you u/s today. Hoping you get some good news!
@SJG good luck on your beta today! lots of baby dust! Kudos to you for waiting, I dont have as much self control :)

  • @sjg Good luck!!!!!!! FX and keep us posted!!

@lady_grey you're so close!! I'm glad that it's going by kinda quick for you! How have you been feeling?

@amanning2011 Welcome and good luck!!! I'm not sure what the abbreviation stands for, but its asking for your treatment plan for this cycle.

So many ladies coming up on beta's and IUI's this weekend!! Good luck to every single one of you! Thinking and praying for you all!! Can't wait to hear!!

Had my DH give me the Gonal-F last night. The build up in my head was SO much worse than the actual poke. I had my U/S this morning. One of my follies grew to 16 and the other one stayed at 12.5. She said a few of the other little ones got a bit bigger but nothing substantial. Waiting now for the nurse to call with next steps.

  • @fivetimesnoluck Eh, not so good today. Just started spotting the way I normally do before I start AF, and also because I obviously have zero chill and POAS this morning and it was BFN.  I guess I know there's a very slim chance it could still go the other way, but I'm emotionally preparing for a BFN and another cycle because I think it's the safer way to go at this point. So, sadface, but on to the next cycle.
  • @sasha29 I am sorry. There's always a little hope until you're sure, but I understand why you feel it fleeting.

I have been POAS before each beta just to prepare myself as well. I do think it helps prepare for what's coming and can help move you forward.

As you said, on to the next! I hope you get to enjoy yourself this weekend - maybe indulge in a glass of wine or three. :) Big hugs.

  • @SJG Congratulations!

@Sasha29 I'm sorry that you're having a hard day, the feeling of disappointment is definitely the worst.

Today wasn't a very good day for me either.  We started injectables this month - 4 days of 75 iu Menopur.  Well, I got a total of, wait for it... One follicle.  The doctor said that it's not worth it do the IUI this month as this would be our 4th and my husband doesn't have any issues with sperm quality.  My doctor told me to try to remain optimistic but I'm not feeling that today.  I picked up my trigger shot, had a good little cry in the car, and bought myself a bottle of wine for later.  I wish you ladies all the best of luck, I'll be moving over to the IVF for September board.
  • @SJG Conrgats. So exciting!!!

@sasha29 I'm sorry you're having a hard time. This whole process is so hard and devasting. What is your plan for next cycle if that's the case?

@bpfeiff1984 I'm so sorry. Good luck with your IVF journey.

@isthisthereallife Have you heard back from your nurse yet?
  • @SJG congratulations!!! That's so exciting

@sasha29 I'm sorry, sending hugs your way!

@bpfeiff1984 sorry it didn't work out this month, enjoy that bottle of wine you deserve it. Good luck to you moving forward!

And good luck to everyone having IUIs this weekend!!! Fx for all of us.
  • @sasha29 I'm sorry you're having a hard day! We're all thinking of you!!

@bpfeiff1984 I'm sorry about this cycle!! Good luck with IVF.

I did hear back from the nurse! Another gonal-f tonight, trigger tomorrow and onto the IUI for Monday morning!! I'm trying to stay realistic, but I'm so darn excited!!! DH is trying to play it cool, but I think even he's anxious. Beta will be August 5.

  • @SJG congratulations!  That is SO AWESOME.

@Isthisthereallife Thanks for thinking of me!  i'm hanging in there, trying to hold on to some hope.  Feeling a little crampy and thinking i'm probably out, trying to prepare myself.  It's my 4th try so I know my chances are so so small.  Wishing you such good luck with your IUI on Monday!!! May the eggs be plentiful and the sperm be quick ;)

@kristynelson13 I guess everyone's body is different!  I've heard such a range of time for the trigger to get out of people's system.  I tested the last couple days because I also have "zero chill" as @sasha29 says (LOL), and got a squinter 10 days past trigger, and a super squinter 11 days past, and a hardly there but maybe there 12 days past.  I keep testing now since I broke the ice, hoping tomorrow it will get darker but I have cramps so my chances are bleaaaak.  I definitely opened up a can of POAS worms.

@bpfeiff84 I'm sorry to hear your hard news.  You're smart to treat yourself to a bottle of wine.  A girl after my own heart!!!

@fivetimesnoluck Fingers crossed for speedy swimmers that swim in the right direction!!!!
  • @isthisthereallife We're IUI buddies. Lol. Trigger is tomorrow for me (hopefully) and then IUI Monday too! I'm so anxious and excited too! Good luck to you!
  • @jkd2388 thank you!!! Hope you're having a great weekend! how are you feeling??

    @fivetimesnoluck That's awesome, yay!!!! FX!!!

@lady_grey I'm staying hopeful for you! maybe its
    implantation cramps!

  • @Isthisthereallife I'm doing okay, have some nausea that comes and goes. Otherwise just tired. Thanks for asking

I also decided to POAS this morning. I see a very faint line, but I know it could still be the ovidrel injection since I didn't test out to get a negative. So not getting excited or anything, but had bought them to take morning of my beta and they were just staring at me! Does anyone know how long ovidrel takes to leave your system?

I hope your IUIs go well tomorrow @Isthisthereallife and @Toby102008!! Sending positive thoughts your ways, fx for you both!!!
  • edited July 2016
@jkd2388 I think it can stay in your system up to 12 days or so. I tested mine 7 days past trigger and it was gone. So maybe it is a real bfp... Fx for you!

  • @kristynelson13 thanks! Definitely not getting excited, at this point just assuming it's from the trigger still. I go Wednesday for beta so I'll test again in a day or two and then just wait to hear from the blood work. Fx for you too! When is your beta?
  • @jkd2388 good plan :) hopefully you get that bfp!!! my beta is not until Friday. I'm 10dpo today and bfn.. So I'm starting to think maybe I'm out this cycle... But hopefully it's still early... I've been having waves of nausea and I can't believe how tired i am.. But I'm chalking that up to the progesterone

  • Same here, I just blame everything on the progesterone!
  • Just got out of the doctors office. My one follie is right at 20 and my lining is 6.9. So she said that's right where they want things. Got the trigger shot and IUI is tomorrow morning at 10:15. I'm so excited. I feel like things finally might be coming together. I know the chances of it working aren't the greatest, but to actually be ovulating is a huge step in the right direction!

@isthisthereallife Do you have a time scheduled for your IUI tomorrow? Good luck!!!

@jkd2388 It very well could be a BFP. How many dpo are you? Fx for you!

@kristynelson13 Fx for you. You're right, it's still early so you're not out yet! Good luck!
  • @Toby102008 that's so exciting!!! Best of luck to you tomorrow!! Today I am 9 dpo, so that's why I'm thinking it could be trigger shot. But I'm having some pretty bad nausea today so maybe it could be from the progesterone, who knows!
  • @jkd2388 I hope hope hope it's a BFP!! Fx and thank you for the best wishes!!

@Toby102008 tomorrow is the big day!! We gotta be there at 1045! We're so close!! I hope this is it for us both!!

@kristynelson13 maybe not! But I totally get keeping expectations in check! Good luck!!

  • Sasha29 I know how you feel. I am having the same thing going on over here. POAS and negatives (which I don't usually mind) but this time it feels like we are out even before we should really know for sure.

kristynelson13 Triggers only last in me for just a few days...i can't imagine how stressful it is if it stays in your system till just up to the end.

lady_grey FX to you. Are you guys looking at IVF if this doesn't stick? I just had that start thinking about IVF or adoption talk with my husband today over brunch.

SJG That is such awesome news!!!! Excited for you! Wishing you H&H. Keep us updated. :)

  • Nope. Last month I drank pomegranate juice and ate pineapple + the core. It didn't help me as I didn't get pregnant so during this 2ww I haven't done anything special. Just tried to eat healthy when I can but otherwise eat my normal foods.
  • @Isthisthereallife @Toby102008 want to wish u ladies tons of good luck on your iuis tomorrow, hopefully u will be twinning :)

ive been working a lot and as suspected AF has shown her ugly face, I prayed even though no IUI just maybe the TI would do the trick, all the waste of the meds and scans :( I cried a lot but so stressed with work that a part of me is not surprised either.  @BecauseLove thanks for thinking of me I wish I was up to the IUI part already, keep me in ur thoughts hopefully I'll be ready to try again in another week or so....I'm scared I will have to move on to ivf BUT still want to give IUI another try as work is to crazy and stressful to think of adding ivf on to that. @bfpeiff1984 I do understand and wish u all the best.
remember ladies ur not out till AF shows and it sounds like a lot of u have some great symptoms so hoping this is ur month!!!

@sjg huge congrats to u!!! Can't wait for ur next beta tomorrow hope ur still feeling great!! Wishing u all the best!!

@kaityh1 glad ur IUI went well hoping ur BFP shows!

@BecauseLove it's not a fun conversation and my oh has kids and is all about adoption but that just kills me right now....and I don't know how I feel about it not bothering him, does that make sense?

  • @Hopeful_mom I am sorry AF reared her ugly head.

@Isthisthereallife I don't follow a special diet, but do try  to eat more whole foods. I don't always have the best eating habits, so I have been trying to be better since I started working with our RE. I am totally eating pineapple core 1-5 DPO, but that's easy for me b/c I love pineapple.

Good luck to you and @Toby102008 today! Hope all goes well!

@BecauseLove That video is so silly! Glad to know I am not alone in making fun of all this.

I am not testing out my trigger (have one test and am saving it for morning of Beta) and start progesterone suppositories tonight, so I will spend the next week and a half trying not to be a crazy person. It's kind of a cruel joke that the symptoms of pregnancy are so similar to AF - and that all the symptoms are exaggerated by the progesterone.
