Help--Afraid of Impending Miscarriage

Hello! According to my LMP I am 8w4days, but on Monday I had an ultrasound and baby was only measuring 6w2d. My dr said my dates could be off, or I gathered that the other possibility is that baby is not growing. I got my first positive test on 6/24, and so if I really am only 6 weeks, that means I found out at week 2. Is that possible? It was a very faint line (so faint I thought it was negative). The heart beat was 119 bpm. My stomach has actually gotten smaller in the last 2 weeks, but I don't know if that was early bloating or not...I keep convincing myself of one outcome and then the other, and am sick of waiting! I go in for another ultrasound on Monday to see if there's been growth, but would love to hear from anyone who's had a similar experience! (With either outcome.) This is my third pregnancy and it has felt so different from my first two. I haven't had any morning sickness at all, which I did with my first two. Thanks for your replies!

In my last pregnancy I was measuring 6w when I should have been measuring 8w, and the HB was only 89. I miscarried a week later.
With this pregnancy the HB was 122 at 6w, which is in normal range. Eta this one showed two weeks growth at the next ultrasound.
I would be hopeful with a good HB. Maybe you ovulated later?
I know waiting is the hardest part, and my hopes are with you.

That heartbeat is strong for 6w2d. It could be a combination of a lot of things, and some little ones start out smaller--U/S accuracy can vary as much as + or - 5 to 7 days. If implantation took a little longer, you ovulated early, etc, I could see it happening. My first--a loss--had an almost 4 week difference and no heartbeat despite measuring 6w4d. But with only 2 weeks off and a good heartbeat the odds are much more in your favor. Fingers crossed that everything works out for you!

I am 8w4d and had my first +hpt on 6/15. If you didn't get a very faint positive until 6/24 it seems possible you aren't as far along as you think. According to my LMP I actually should be 10+ weeks but I know I ovulated much later. I know the waiting is awful so try to keep yourself occupied (easier said than done, I know!). I'll keep my FX for you!!

when I m/c between 6 and 7 weeks they found only and empty sac, no HB.

My doctor said I found out right after I conceived and was around two weeks as well. She said it was possibly due to ovulating later than normal. I was thought I was a day or two shy of eight weeks and was measuring right at six weeks, I went in the next week for a dating ultrasound because they couldn't measure the heart rate just see the flicker and my DD changed because it was off from my LMP. I'm ten weeks now.

If you don't know your O date there's still hope and the HB is good. Fx for you!!!

At 6w3d this baby's heartbeat was only 116 bpm and at a second US 4 weeks later was a very healthy 161 (plus measured 4 days ahead in growth!). If your pregnancy test was very sensitive it's possible to get a positive test at 6-8 DPO and that early it is typically a very faint line like you're describing. If you were testing on what should have been the start of your next cycle then it seems that if you ovulated in the standard 12-14 day window you should have had a much darker line which seems to support a later O date like others suggested.

Do you know when you ovulated? The hb is normal for 6 weeks, 2 days. A lot of times 6 weeks, 2 days is too early to see a heartbeat at all.

Stay positive! The body is a crazy thing, and although science is pretty rad, it still can miscalculate. Unless you know exactly when you ovulated, there's no reason to believe you didn't ovulate/implant later. Good luck & sending positive vibes!

I'm in the same boat. US last week revealed 2 yolk sacs but only 1 had a fetal pole and no heartbeats. Dr apt on Monday as well. Hoping your apt shows growth. Prayers for you and your little one!

I know how difficult this waiting time can be.

Thanks everyone! Just had the appointment--baby is measuring 7 weeks 1 day, and had a heart rate of 152 bpm!!! So my due date has been pushed back to 3/12/17. I guess I'll have to switch to the March 2017 Birth Month Club! Thanks to all of you so much for your encouragement!! dbeeps I wish you the best of luck as well!!
