Hi all, I was looking into premade lactation cookies and recipes online, and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the cookies. Do they actually help? Waste of money? Let me know! Thanks
My doc said no. You're better off healthy options of the individual ingredients like oats. I hear good things about Mother's milk tea and fenugreek also. Gatorade or coconut water definitely increases my supply due to the electrolytes but there is mixed thoughts on that too.
I premade and froze a bunch of lactation cookies. I made the "healthy" kind which included oats and ground flax seed (it also called for Brewers yeast but I couldn't find any at the store). I also made the cookies with 1/2 the amount of sugar and butter the recipe called for. I'm still unsure if the cookies really help, but they do make for quick and delicious snacks!
No clue on the cookies, but I had his luck with the "More Milk Plus" caplets from Mother Love and drinking lots of water with it. The only downside is that the fenugreek makes you smell like maple syrup.
So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"
It depends on the recipe. U have tried a few and didn't see a difference. There is one that made a huge difference for me though. It had steel cut oaks and brewer's yeast. Good luck.
