WTF Wednesday

I didn't see a new thread so I took the liberty since I need to get mine out. Hope you don't mind.

MIL comes over yesterday to watch DD's dance class with us last night and reminds me that it's my SIL's birthday tomorrow. I told her I already know and will call her tomorrow. Last night DD didn't sleep well and needed a fresh diaper and some milk at 2:00am and I didn't make it back to bed until 2:30am. MIL decides to wake me by texting me at 6:00am reminding me once again that it is SIL's birthday today despite our conversation yesterday. I am beyond po'ed and cranky this morning because of her. DD is still asleep and I can't fall back asleep because I am too irritated and mad now. Pregnancy hormones and annoying in-laws don't mix. That is all.

@loveyoga7 that sounds frustrating...I get annoyed also with texts at unreasonable hours of the night. I should just put my phone on the do not disturb mode but I can never remember.
My wtf - I work at an office in VERY close quarters with others. This one person has had a news app playing outloud for three days straight. It is a live stream so when there is a break, it plays this same loop of maybe four bars of music. Hormones are making me want to smash the phone to pieces at this point.

@irishrose54 people with the sound on their phone in small office quarters drives me nuts!! Or out in public (restaurants, airports, etc). Like old people always have the sound on and they like to play annoying games and they leave the key sounds on so you can hear every letter they type in their slowly typed text messages.

@loveyoga7 I have annoying ILs too....I kind of dread telling them that I'm pregnant because my MIL is going to want to be over ALL.THE.TIME...she doesn't work so she has nothing else to do...I already told DH that we're going to have to set some ground rules...

@irishrose54 if you have an iPhone you can set it up to automatically go into "Do not disturb" mode at a certain time and turn off at a certain time....the only time it will go off is if someone on your "Favorites" list calls you.

I just went to fill up my water bottle in the break area and someone's lunch smelled legit like dog food...I had to hold my breath until I walked away.

@irishrose54 love your gif. I can never remember to put my phone on do not disturb at night either.

@ngcsugirl1112 I haven't told my in laws that we are expecting yet because she is retired and would be over all the time as well. I asked DH if we could wait to tell them until the 2nd trimester. We agreed to tell both sides after the first appointment. We are enjoying it as our little secret for now.

WTF to the fact that I got side swiped on the way to my sono this morning. Had to wait almost an hour for police to come and give report and then had to wait an additional hour for Dr. to be able to see me. UGH!!!

I did not know that about the do not disturb setting! Game changer!

I am also really not looking forward to telling my in laws we are expecting. My MIL is also probably going to be trying to come over all the time and will basically want to raise the baby herself. She already started complaining to my DH last time we were expecting that she was so upset bc I mentioned that we have friends nearby who would babysit. She expects us to only call her to babysit --- but she lives almost an hour away. This is all WAY to early to even be discussing. It drives me crazy! I am so in for it when this baby comes lol

@Jparisi926 Ugh that sucks you got sideswiped! Absolute worst time for that to happen to you, considering you were probably already anxious to begin with for your first sono.

I'm glad you're okay and that the appoinmentt went well. On the small bright side, at least the office didn't make you reschedule for a completely different day... All I can say is it'll be a memorable day in many ways!!

I just found out that because I started a new job one month before I got pregnant that I am not eligible for maternity leave. The best they can offer me is giving me the rest of the sick time I would accrue throughout the year in advance, so I can take 2 weeks paid time off and then I'm not allowed any sick time from March until the end of December....

WTF, crazy, irrational brain of mine. Why do you keep thinking of things to worry about? I am over Wondfo/FRER lines getting darker, but I have moved on to worrying about getting 3+ weeks on the CB w/ weeks estimator. I mean, seriously. Recognizing your craziness makes it a little better, right? Do they have POAS rehab? I need to go.

Just so you know, that calculates fetal age - not pregnancy weeks. So you would add 2 weeks to the number showing up on CB. So essentially a 3+ actually means that you are 5 or more weeks pregnant, and often that doesn't show up until you are about halfway through week 5.

@chrlyr You sound like me a few weeks ago. I had a couple CB weeks estimator tests too. Just know that 3+ weeks means 3+ weeks after ovulation, not weeks total pregnant. So to get 3+ weeks, you're typically 5 or more weeks pregnant.

Rational brain knows this. Crazy brain is like "Eh, close enough, right? 3+! 3+! 3+!".

@chrlyr Now that I've said that - I'm only going to enable you, but I scored 3+ weeks on the test at 4w6d. I think that was mainly my body going "You're pregnant. PUT THE DAMN STICKS AWAY!"

I haven't looked back since.

@chrlyr I was doing the same thing and testing like crazy before my third beta (which was a week after the second one). I thought if I could turn the test to 3+ I could relax and be confident going into the beta. And I should have turned it to 3+ at that point. Well - I tested and wasted so much $ and never got 3+ BUT my beta was totally on track and doubling!! Long story short, try not to lost sleep over it or worry too much.

W. T. F! A bit TMI, I went pee earlier and got a swipe of brownish red. So of course my head goes into worst case scenario mode and starts prepping for the worst. Maybe you didn't need this baby after all... You did something to deserve to lose the baby... Maybe it's for the best... I really hate my mind sometimes.
So far, though, I haven't seen or felt anything really off, and no more brownish-red. So...*fingers crossed*!

My WTF moment was when my boss called me into her office to show me what she found. I guess another co-worker of mine has been keeping track of what time I leave work. She showed meba post it that said my name, yesterday date and that I left at 8:28 unstead of 8:30. My boss and I both broke out laughing at how ridiculous this is. For the record, I punched out at 8:29. She is butt hurt because she got a talking to about her bad attitude and now she wants to bring everyone down with her. Her attitude isn't getting any better. Tonight she slapped the door in another employees face just when he stopped to say hi.
