Still no idea in regard to fruit but my app says 3 3/4 lbs

Thursday I have a checkup. Nothing special.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
Trying not to let my weight gain get to me. I gained 60 lbs with DS and so far I am up 34 lbs. I don't care except I really don't want to get bashed for it from my doctor.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
ice cream and pizza! Give me all the carbs!!! Probably a co tributor to the above hahaha

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten?

I have had escargot, frog legs and pickled herring. Pickled herring is a stable food in DK so that doesn't seem strange to me, but I know my husband thinks it's super strange and gross so I wanted to include it. I make our poor child eat it too haha (he loves it).

What size is baby? Squash, pomelo, armadillo (~3.75 lbs)

Rants/Raves/Questions? I keep wavering between total calm and panic about the fact that we have nothing ready for baby. My shower isn't for another 3 weeks, so we won't have a car seat, PnP, crib, anything until then. That still leaves 5 weeks before the EDD, so we should be completely fine. With the recent birth announcement, though, I'm getting anxious about a really early delivery and having no plan.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Back to sleeping ~10 hours a night. I'm not exactly complaining, since I know how rare this will be later and I'm glad that I have the ability to do it now, but I wish I could have more "normal" hours to get things done during the

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? Escargot and beef tongue (not together!), although I'm sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't find those to be very strange.

How many weeks? 33!

What size is baby? Durian fruit? Never even heard of it. At my growth scan last Friday he was in the 57th percentile and was 4lbs. 14oz.

Upcoming appointments? I have an NST and fluid check tomorrow morning and another NST on Friday (I have them every week on Tues./Fri.). And I have an appt. with my nephrologist on Thursday. I had to do blood work and give a urine sample on Friday to prep for this appt. I'm really curious to see what the urine results show because I passed another freakin' kidney stone on Friday (actually passed it with the same pee from my urine sample. What are the odds?!). I've had 4 kidney stones this pregnancy. Craziness.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My rant would be the kidney stones (though I'm glad they aren't as painful as they have been in the past) and that my blood pressure is creeping up. It's been in the mid 130's/high 80's whereas it has actually been pretty low this whole pregnancy. It should be an interesting few weeks coming up. I've had a headache on and off for the past two days but it does go away with tylenol and sleeping but just seems to come back.

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? The first thing that came to mind was haggis on my high school trip to Scotland (and England). I've had frog legs too but had forgotten about that until @Shiva14 mentioned them!

Feeling like I'm running out of time to put up furniture and get ready, but also very anxious to just have baby girl here already. Tired of working and tired of sitting around on weekends. Also feeling like I am still confused about maternity leave so I'm working through that too

Still loving fruit nonstop and purple popsicles.

Not a fan of trying things that look strange or disgusting so nothing I can think of.

What size is baby? celery

Upcoming appointments? at a non stress test right now. Have them weekly until I deliver fluid is low today so I'm concerned. Womp

Rants/Raves/Questions? I love when baby has hiccups! It's so cute. I'm just nervous about these tests. And jealous of some women who go through pregnancy with 0 complications. I know it could always be worse but right now I'm just worried. I feel especially irritated when someone says that my baby might come early (because I'm at risk for pre term labor) and though they don't know that it still makes me angry. I'm trying to think positive and send good vibes to this little guy. But it's not his fault it's my body's fault

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? everything is making me nauseous! But I've been craving lemonade

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? my family is Mexican so as a child I was forced to eat parts of animals that I am now ashamed of. I don't eat meat anymore so looking back I am so peeved with my parents for forcing me!

How many weeks? 30weeks!!! 7 months later this week, so crazy

What size is baby? Half of a large cheesecake so says babysizer

Upcoming appointments? no, got my TDAP at the last one and my arm was so so so sore for four days

Rants/Raves/Questions? A rave about TDAP is BIL and wife (who are also pregnant) got his parents to agree to get the shot (MIL isn't really anti but odd about vaccines). For at least an hour every evening for about two weeks baby is super active. I will admit it is getting beyond uncomfortable to painful some of the time. I will quote Alpha Mom for this week "May feel like you’re gestating a pissed-off housecat rather than a chubby wittle baby at this point, with some movement and kicks causing ACTUAL PHYSICAL PAIN. "

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Usuals, been having a great time eating my birthday cake over multiple days.

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? Hmmm, not many. I had a cow's heart once, not gross but way to tough. I've had goat, way to gamey for me.

How many weeks? 30, c-section planned for 60 days from tomorrow - CRAZY!

What size is baby? zucchini

Upcoming appointments? had one today and it included the TDAP. I feel ok now but know better than to think that will last.

Rants/Raves/Questions? the nausea and heartburn have been incredible! I never had either of these during first tri or with my other two pregnancies, but for some reason it's hitting me now and it's intense.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? fruit, fruit, fruit, bagels and fruit. I'm trying to stay away from bagels, but I can't get enough fruit

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? I'm not that adventurous when it comes to food so I haven't had anything strange or outrageous.

Upcoming appointments? Wednesday (I love that the answer won't be a month from now anymore!)

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm really mentally struggling with the weight gain this go around (I'm already where I was when I had DD). And baby has been super active for me in the evenings, too! He appears to be flipping around every 3rd day or so, which can be a bit painful.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I had to start avoiding pickles and overly salty foods, because I get so painfully bloated by the end of the day when I have them. I haven't noticed a big improvement yet, and am a little sad to say no to my favorite foods (much prefer salty to sweet!)

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? We try almost anything in the food game. My favorite has been exotic sushi, including raw shrimp and squid, at an omakase anniversary dinner. Alligator, cracklins, and frog legs were part of growing up in Louisiana. We try to eat local specialties when we travel, hoping to keep that up once we get to travel again after the kids are bigger!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I've started getting heartburn in the late afternoon/evenings. I really am not enjoying this.

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? Probably eel and octopus at a Japanese restaurant then I was a kid. Other than that, I love food but don't eat much that I would consider strange.

@ducks6 Oof, I'm on the heartburn train too. I'm sorry you have to deal with it!

@Sarafuss The nurse conducting the exam wasn't too concerned since the NST came out just fine, but I'm still worried how my amniotic fluid level went from a 16 last week to an 8 this week! To make matters more concerning I had to have two NSTs back to back last week because there was a bit of abnormality with the first one. So I guess I'm just being super paranoid when I hear everything is slightly less than perfect each time. Thank you for reaching out!

Rants/Raves/Questions? my 23 month old has Hand Foot & Mouth - lovely!!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I hate food right now, nothing looks or tastes good, I never want to eat and even when I do I don't have room for more than 3 damn bites anyway.

GTKY: What is the strangest food you've ever eaten? Umm probably Ostrich Jerky I'd have to say.
