Coyotes. We were woken up by our dogs going crazy last night and DH runs out to see what was going on. There were coyotes in the woods, super close to the house. So then we let the dogs sleep inside and I couldn't fall back to sleep because I kept thinking about how dirty the floor was going to be.

@bnsmith85 It is so common for us to hear coyotes out where we live but usually they are far enough off that we aren't too worried. Last night we could hear they were close and where they were moving to because some neighbors dogs started barking (we live on almost 20 acres so neighbors are spread out). I don't worry too much because most coyotes won't come into the yard where there are dogs (we have 5, 4 sleep outside) especially since ours are all big than coyotes so the coyotes see our dogs as a bigger "pack."

But this is exactly why DH predator hunts around our land and at my dad's farm. Last night when he heard them, he ran back inside for his AR and night sight but they were too far in the woods.

  • I am the TW today. I forgot to hit the off button to the alarm at work so I'm the TW that triggered the alarm at the credit union this morning. Something I never wanted to do, luckily I called on it immediately and no one higher up was notified. I would have been so embarrassed!

  • BAHAHAHA @SpaceBurger! Actually LOL'd at that one.

I just posted this in my ticker change but Africa (Tanzania) is my TW... Haha. Because they still ran the clinic and THE DR NEVER SHOWED UP.  Which means I had my blood work done and an ultrasound and paid for my apt and sat around for hours. Also why is it that at 28 weeks they still aren't sure if it's a boy or a girl?! Not to mention the power went out halfway through my ultrasound so the guy just decided he had seen enough instead of waiting for the generator to kick on.
Anyway. I'm pretty pissed and trying to figure out a new plan...

  • OMG @kmolleltz !! I would be SO ANNOYED right now!  Did the ultrasound tech try to determine if it was a boy or girl at all??  And you've waited so patiently to see your little one - to have it cut short is just so mean!  When do you have another appointment?  And will you EVER get to see the doctor?  Hang in there!!
  • Ugh @kmolleltz I'm sorry! That's so frustrating!!

@LMNOBaby he was basically like "the machine isnt clear enough to tell" and then the power went out...
The head nurse is suppose to try and get ahold of the Dr tomorrow to see if he'll be able to come in the evening... the problem is that he is the head OBGYN at the big private hospital in town (which is where I plan to deliver) so if something comes up or an emergency he doesn't make it to the clinic....

I think I'm just going to start attending the hospital clinic it's just on the opposite side of town and less accessible by public transport :/

Ugh...so annoying.  But, maybe if you just did a couple appointments at the hospital, so you could see and talk to the doctor.  Then some of the in-between ones you could have at the clinic closest to you?

You did get to see the baby though, at least for a little while, right? Was it awesome?! Everything look okay?

@LMNOBaby yeah I did see for a little bit. It seemed like the tech was rushing anyway and so the measurements were a bit behind... :/ but im chalking it up to him rushing. there is a new hospital in town that advertises really great services so I'm trying to see if its all talk or if they're actually good to possibly go there for an US

  • Good luck @kmolleltz !!

I'm calling my stupid right eye contact a twatwaffle today.  Not sure if there's something on it, or if I just irritated my eye earlier by rubbing it.  But, I don't have my glasses to switch and no contact solution to clean it...so I keep trying to yawn to make my eyes water and I'm like over-blinking repeatedly to try and soothe it a bit.  Pretty sure the guy who came to drop off our cooler water bottles thinks I was flirting with him...he couldn't get out of here fast enough!  Anyway, I just want to rip it out of my eye ball, but I have another hour of work, then an ultrasound at MFM - should be fun lying on my back and trying to see the little one with one eye out of commission! Stupid contacts. I never have issues with them - but of course I do on an ultrasound day!

One of my clients is today's TW. We were supposed to have a conference call last Thursday. She never joined. I emailed and texted her about it and approximately 4 hours later she responded saying, "Can we catch up tomorrow?" Sure. On Friday morning we're supposed to talk at 11. She never calls me. I try her - no answer. That afternoon she sends me a text, "Can we please talk first thing Monday? Today got away from me." Absolutely. On Monday, I email her letting her know I have no meetings, so I'm literally available all day (rare). She says, "Great! I have a meeting this morning, so can I just let you know when I'm out of that and we'll talk?" SURE.

    Never a phone call.

Today is my day off. Always. She knows this. I'd planned a nice date day for DS and me. But, guess what! She needs allllll the things. :s

I know we have all had these moments recently, but doesnt make it any better. My co-worker is the TW. Walked by me today (while she was on her cell phone with someone I might add) and shouts, "Girl your belly is TOO big!" Then precedes to tell whoever she is talking to how big her co-workers belly is. Well thanks for that. I just told her nope its the right size but thanks for shouting it for the office to hear.
  • I don't think I've ever posted on this thread but our delivery guy is officially a twatwaffle and should be called out as such.
My parents were visiting a family friend in Austria who gave them a baby gift to pass on to me. Well I'm not going to see my parents before the birth so they threw it in the mail while still in Austria.
Fast forward to today - our delivery man comes while I'm at work, and instead of ringing the neighbors' bells, just throws in a card saying the package will be left at the post office. NBD, I live right around the corner from the post office. Unfortunately he left it at the post office on the OTHER side of town, which is only a mile and a half away BUT it is not accessible by public transportation, I have no car, I am afraid of riding my bike on the main road (which any American would label as being one lane but here it's two lanes, two rows of parked cars and two bike lanes), and NO WAY am I walking 3 miles when it is almost 100 degrees! I only have 7 days until they "return to sender" and DH is in Africa for two weeks. WHY couldn't he take it to the other post office?!?!

  • And if not @books&icecream, could you call the post office and see if they'll try delivering it again? Not sure if people there are sympathetic to pregnancy tears but maybe tell them you're on bedrest or something and ask if they could deliver to the neighbors?

Trying to prep for being out of office for a week next week is my TW for today. I've been SWAMPED because of it, trying to make sure those covering my marketing campaigns basically have nothing extra to do... And then on of my clients decides to rush one of our digital pieces to market, so I've got that extra work on my plate. Awesome.
I can't wait to be on a beach this time next week. It'll all be worth it! :)
  • Insurance is a big major f'ing twatwaffle!!!   I got rear ended going on two months ago, not at fault. Dealing with the other persons insurance has been a complete nightmare! They are trying to get out of paying for my rental and I have $400 charges that have went through from Enterprise and insurance won't call me back! I am so beyond frustrated and hormonal! I'm terrified when I submit my receipt for my replacement car seat they are going to fight paying that too! My damaged seat was a Clek Foonf, so not a cheap seat! I just can't even deal.

  • Bed rest is a TW. I know I've complained before, but I just hit 6 weeks of bed rest and I am crying every evening knowing that tomorrow I'll still be stuck in bed. I can't go do things with my daughter and it's so frustrating! I'm so done.

  • My landlord is a TW! I have been racking my brain the past 2 weeks trying to remember if the landlord accepted our rent e-transfer for this month, and for the life of me I couldn't remember receiving an accepted transfer email.  Tonight I decided to check my bank, and sure enough the transfer is still pending - with an expiration date of next week!  I just sent her an email (and a text just in case her email is the issue), but things like this stress me out because even though I have proof that I sent her the transfer prior to July 1, I can't help but question why she hasn't accepted it yet.  Is it because she wants us to move out??  Maybe to increase our rent??  GAH! I know it's probably just an oversight, and obviously she isn't hurting for the money or else she would have messaged me, but still!!!  GAH!
