Rants/Raves/Questions? Raving about hitting another viability milestone today and passing my glucose tolerance test last week!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Just some minor pain in my groin area. I feel like I'm starting to waddle
GTKY: What/who do you think your LO will look like? I don't know, but at the risk of sounding selfish, I really hope she looks like me. My parents adopted me when I was 3 months old, so I've never known or even seen a biological relative. It would be so cool to have someone in my family who looks like me! On the other hand, if she looks like DH (or the females in his family), it wouldn't be the worst thing. They all have darker skin tones and dark hair, so that would definitely be easier to manage than the pale skin and bright red hair that I would pass down. Either way, I'm so excited to see her!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I've never been particularly sensitive, so I'm sure this is just the hormones, but the body comments from everyone and anyone are really getting to me. In the same day I've had people tell me I look so big for 26 weeks, to another person telling me I look like I'm getting smaller, am I sure I'm still pregnant? Like who says these things to people?? If your comment to a pregnant lady is anything other than "you look great!" keep it to yourself!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? My iron was really low, probably because I've become effectively a vegetarian besides some deli turkey and bacon, so I've been trying to eat more meat. It's not going well. I hope I'll love chicken again one day, but right now it's just appalling. I've also got some legit sciatic pain going on in my right hip/butt/leg, so that's unpleasant.
GTKY: What/who do you think your LO will look like? I hope that our LO is a genetic clone of my husband just with my sense of humor/outgoing personality. H was seriously the cutest little chubby cherub baby with curly white blonde hair and blue eyes. Somehow, he can still tan really easily whereas I burn if I even look at the sun too much. And his family seems to have good health genes so I hope the baby inherits that too obviously. He hopes the baby gets height from my side of the family though (my dad and uncles are all over 6 foot, H's family they're all around 5'7)
@CopperBoom86, one of my cousins is adopted and her daughter looks just like her! Your daughter can only be so lucky if she turns out to be as beautiful as you!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Started working on the progression of moving the office furniture out of one room so we can move DS playroom into that room, and hence, make the playroom the baby's room. Then I can start putting everything together. My friend just had her baby 2 months early and that freaks me out. Need to get this shiznit done!!!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Trouble sleeping again. Seemed like I was doing great for a while, now I'm back to waking up at 3am
GTKY: What/who do you think your LO will look like? Haha, I've always thought to myself that my DS would have made the cutest girl! My husband has the LONGEST eyelashes and the most beautiful blue eyes and DS got both. So if she looks like him, I will be thrilled!

I'm sitting here at my 2 hour glucose test, cause I failed the 1 hour one. Poor baby has a nasty case of the hiccups and I can't help but wonder if it's from the gross drink.
I have a doctors appointment for the results on Friday morning. Fingers crossed for good news!

I'm still sleeping well and comfortable, also haven't been having to pee much at all. I know that is likely going to catch up with me and bite me in the ass but for now I'm really enjoying it. I've been paying for that in other ways like the heart burn, mega discharge, sore back and pelvis.

Lately it's been fruit of any sort that I crave and also peas! Which is going to be sad for me if I do have GD this time.

Thursday. Hoping to learn the outcome of my GD screening. I had it yesterday and haven't heard a work about results. Also I had borderline hypertension at my last appt. It was a super stressful week and in hindsight I probably shouldn't have tried to cram an appt in that week, but oh well. I've started walking 3 days a week at lunch (roughly a mile each day), and eating well, etc… so I'm hoping my pressure got back down into normal range.

hoping my GD screen turns out ok. If not I'm going to ask to do home monitoring for a few days/weeks instead of the 3-hour test. I felt absolutely atrocious all day yesterday; hardly any appetite, felt randomly hot with bits of headache thrown in, not worth it to go through it again, with more sugar.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Just the standard heartburn, losing space in my lungs so I'm practically panting when I get up the stairs, trouble shaving my legs… No alarming symptoms though so that's nice. My dad said to me yesterday that by this time last pregnancy he could really see it in my face; that's because last time I had pre-e coming on but we didn't know it, so for him to say how much better I look this time around actually made me feel really good because I'm so paranoid about pre-e (although I know the chances are significantly down since this is my 2nd pregnancy).
DD looked identical to her dad when she was born, but now she looks a lot like me. I don't know that I care which one of us he looks like, although by the sounds of my anatomy scan, he's going to have the tall genes from my mom's side. The tech actually commented on his long legs and big feet, so we'll see! My mom's side did produce some very handsome gents!GTKY: What/who do you think your LO will look like?

I had 2 appointments today. One was with the hospital with the fancy ultrasound and one was with my OB for my GD test. I get the results on Friday. Fingers crossed and praying so hard. We got to see Hazelnut though!

I don't want to jinx myself but it seems that the baby has moved off my sciatic nerve and I can walk again. Thank GOD! I'm still going to my chiro though.

@Kaytee1087 - Your experience with the glucose test sounds rough, girl! I hope you passed with flying colors and don't have to even think about it again! The u/s techs have all commented on how long our LO is, too. DH is 6'4 and I'm 5'10, so I knew she'd be tall, but it's crazy to me that they can already tell that!
I'm also struggling with the comments of you must be due pretty soon. Or the whoa 3 more months!? Oddly a lot of these are coming from other women who have probably had kids and should know better than to imply a pregnant lady is huge.

probably just like her brothers all my kids seem to come out with black hair and blue eyes which will fade to med/dark brown hair and most likely green eyes and very chubby with small eyes. I (as does everyone i know) hopes she gets red hair like I have but I know that's a long shot

I got nothin'... other than wishing LO would drop this "I can only take a few steps" act and start walking! He's getting awfully heavy to tote around along with this massive belly!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Symptoms: Insomnia, constipation, emotional unpredictability, and an ever increasing painful pressure in my uterus comparable to an alien pupa trying to burst from my abdomen.
Cravings: When I am at the grocery store, everything sounds like ass and I don't want anything. Once I drive passed a restaurant, everything sounds amazing... I think my subconscious is just discriminating against food that must be prepared first.
Aversions: I still can't handle packaged taco seasoning or bone-in pork chops.
GTKY: What/who do you think your LO will look like?
If things keep going the way they are, he'll probably look like me. DD and LO are pretty much my carbon copies, so I guess I just have strong genes. I hope for FI's pride's sake that Johnny looks like him though so he'll have at least ONE child that resembles him!

It was so cool to lay down this morning after work and watch Robert kick. FI and i laid there watching him mive my belly with his hard kicks for probably 30-45 minutes.

Sciatica keeps getting wose. Dr gave a referral to PT but haven't made that appointment yet.

Fi and i have had this discussion many times. I hope he gets the best of both of us. Specifically i want him to have my baby blue eyes and his daddy's red tinted hair.

I can't stand raw food. Cooking makes me feel so sick, I just want to see the finished product, not the gross slimy parts.

I hope she gets the best of each of us. I hope she's smart like me, but has her dad's laid back personality and his amazing smile. If she has my crazy curly hair God help her!

Just had one, got my rhogam shot and a lot of questions answered... talked to my doctor about when we figure out the birth plan, hospital registration, her take on medicated vs unmedicated birth, and a pediatrician rec. Appointments every two weeks now, next time is the Tdap vaccine (even though I got it in October with my flu shot

@kennelchick I feel the same way, it's so cute to see DH so excited about baby! He's been excited all along, but I think since we've started taking our childbirth classes and he's been reading some books and doing more work on the nursery, it's all starting to feel so real. I thought he'd be weirded out by some of the stuff in the classes but he's really into them and its very sweet!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Hungry all the time! And my weight gain is definitely not steady... I'll stay the same or even go down for awhile, and then for days in a row I'll just gain a bunch of weight. Baby must be going through a growth spurt! No aversions, everything is yummy, but especially sweeter things.
GTKY: What/who do you think your LO will look like?
I picture him having white blond hair like I did as a baby, my full lips, and DH's big blue eyes and long eyelashes. I'm short and DH is tall, so I really hope he takes after DH sizewise or at least averages out lol. DH and both have really opposite skill sets (I'm a therapist and he's an accountant), so we always joke that our kids will either be really well-rounded or terrible at everything. We'll see!

Rant- first tri exhaustion is rearing its ugly head. why oh why did I not take advantage of the 2nd tri feel goods and have my nursery ready.
Raves- Babymoon in Traverse City, MI was lovely and I am so happy we won that silent auction last year so it was already paid for.

GTKY: What/who do you think your LO will look like? Some days I think she will/want her to look like me, other days I think she will/ want her to look like her dad.
A coworker with 6 kids told me something interesting though I am not sure how much truth there is to it: When a baby is born they are more prone to look like dad at birth so he can instantly bond and connect to the child. The mother had 9 months of bonding time while she was carrying that Dad missed out on. Baby can then change to start looking more like Mom after Dads bond has been established.
I like the way this theory sounds so if baby girl does look just like Dad at birth - I am going with it !
