We are going to a Sip and See for DH's cousin tonight. They live a few hours away from the rest of the family but came up to visit this weekend. Most of us haven't met their two month old baby boy yet. I'm hoping to get DH to hold the baby, because I don't think he has EVER held a baby!

Grandfather was in a car accident last night so we were all up really late waiting to get the all clear from the hospital. We didn't really know what happened so we were all kind of on call to make the hour long trip to hospital until we knew what the situation was. Thankfully, everything was ok. He's banged up, cars trashed (they had to cut him out), but he's home now.

My grandma and I are going shopping today. Some stuff for her new house. Maybe pick out nursery furniture she's offered to buy for us

With some stops to take care of grandpa.

Probably just errands tomorrow =\

Ahh my whole post got deleted. Damn you, TB! I'll try again, I guess. Today we are rearranging furniture to start turning the spare bedroom/DH's crap room into a nursery. Then who knows. Maybe go looking at garage sales for a dresser for me to refinish for the nursery. Maybe go shopping. Maybe more puppy snuggles (she's a licker).

Tomorrow, church and then some family time with my parents.

DH is painting the nursery now. We put together the cribs yesterday. Bought all of my decor this morning from Hobby Lobby. Everything was 50% off!!

Random thought - I think we might use the really nice recliner we have in the bonus room for the babies room. I'd rather put $600 towards something else - a minivan, maternity leave. It's brown leather. Would that be weird? I think I'm going to order a pillow sham to match the bedding if we go this route in an effort to tie it all in.

Nothing exciting today as DH is working. My friend might stop by later, so I have to clean my kitchen and cook lunch/dinner (kielbasa bow tie skillet). This morning was rough because my steering wheel locked up twice and I couldn't get my car to start. Thinking my key wore out again so my mom will be bringing me the spare key she has.

Tomorrow is the Prego Expo! I'm so excited. The first 50 pregnant women get a free 3d/4d ultrasound so we are gonna try to get there early to get that. My mom is coming with and DH decided to come too when I told him about the ultrasounds but I really want him to be able to give input on some of the demos we see on gear and other things.

in about 45 min I have 3 little girls coming over for DD1's birthday slumber party. eeekkkkk. i'm bloated, my back is killing me, and the cupcake shop messed up the order. and DH is taking DD2 to a baseball game so I have no help. oh, and i cannot drink any wine to deal with the chaos. argh!!!!
I have a feeling tomorrow I will be recovering.

It's my bday today so we're doing a bbq tomorrow when DH isn't working. Might go out for bday dinner when he gets home from work tonight. Today I might just go to the gym, buy some more cute things for baby girl and do some writing. If I'm really ambitious I might work on the nursery a bit or get my nails done.

Let's see. Yesterday we did a hike and a pizza place lunch. Today we did a tiny hike with some friends from out of town that are here and we just did frozen yogurt with them. Tomorrow DH wants me to take DS for a little while so he can get some things done. I'll probably take DS to run some errands or something. We also cleaned house well today and will pick weeds tomorrow early before it gets hot.

@DiFazette - we have a regular rocking recliner in the nursery. It's great.

Yesterday we had a date night - Panera followed by Ghostbusters. Today DH went out with a friend to breweries. I stayed home, took a killer nap on the couch, and now I'm eating Chick Fil A. Tomorrow I have to wake up super early for a flight to Seattle for work. Pretty lowkey weekend.

Sounds like everybody's having a good weekend! My little bro is in town so we've been doing some fun stuff, went to a movie and a video game store. Might go disc golfing later. I'm also going to Marshall's to see if there's any good baby deals. The last time I was there they had the discounted Aiden + Anaïs bibs but I didn't pick them up that time, so I'm hoping they've still got some.

Low-key weekend here, too. I went blueberry picking with my sister this morning, hung out with my parents this afternoon, started reading The Maze Runner, ate a soft pretzel, and tonight is Ghostbusters with the in-laws. Tomorrow is church, and probably a lot of the same.

@DiFazette we have a brown leather recliner we are planning on using for the nursery too. We have an extra one and I figured it would probably be more comfy than a traditional glider anyway.

I have done nothing this weekend and it's been glorious.

We had my parents and sister over for a cookout and mini-reveal. We just found out Baby is a girl yesterday so I had to think quick as to how to announce it. I went with individual wrapped powdered drink mix packets that they had to pour in a cup of water to see if it turned blue or pink (or in my case, red haha). It ended up being surprisingly fun, and I say that as a big time sour puss about this sort of thing

Tomorrow, helping husband assemble cabinets for our garage. Should be awesome but we have leftovers to get us through it!

My mom flew in Wed afternoon and is here through Tuesday morning..... I'm keeping things busy so we're not just sitting around!

Thurs - storytime in the morning, lunch with my sister, bookclub that evening
Fri - Pump it up in the morning (bounce house for toddlers), DH and I had a afternoon day date to the Drafthouse while mom watched DS
Sat - birthday party at the river in the morning, sister came over for the afternoon evening to hang/play/help entertain mom, DH worked 12hr shift
Sun - today is the 'down day', probably go to the pool. DH is working a 12hr shift
Mon - play-and-learn in the morning, maybe lunch with sister, pool in the afternoon and Done!

Friday we stayed in for dinner, but went out for frozen yogurt and browses a few stores. I found maternity work pants for $12 at Ross!

Yesterday we hung out with our friends for a pool day. We had planned to have date night dinner, but pool day turned to pool evening so we're gonna have a lunch date instead.

A friend of mine is due in November, so that's been fun but other friends of ours announced they are now expecting too. They've been trying for 8 years, and were down to their last ivf embryo after several failures, so it was lots of happy tears all around. I'm so praying everything goes okay. We cannot believe their are now 3 of us pregnant at the same time!

Monday morning, but had a good weekend.

Friday night - ran a few errands and went out for supper - which is usually the norm for us.

Saturday - that morning I hit up our local Street Fair, and was able to get my usual Fry Bread Taco and Kettle Korn. I was bummed that the strawberry smoothie vendor was not there this year, after it being there for MANY years - it's also one of my staples to get. But, it was nice to get outside and check out the craft vendors. I have bee going every year since I can remember. That afternoon/evening, we went to one of DH's cousins house for the daughter's 7th birthday party (and it was also his cousins birthday). So, food, drinks, watching all the kids play and just chatting with everything went on.

Sunday - usual laundry and not much else. We did some cleaning that was MUCH needed. I also found out that the wife of one of my cousins had their baby; she was due at the end of the month. He arrived healthy and they named him Huck.

@DiFazette I don't think it's weird at all. One of my friends has a recliner in her nursery, she said it was the best decision!
